Wow, we seem to get kicked out or move a lot...

PC: Thanks for the photobucket link. Take a look at the signature.

I also got a new avatar. It's football season, time for a little Jason Witten, my favorite player, and who I try to be like on the field. No one has knocked my helmet off though... If you've heard of the Cowboy injuries, apparently Romo actually might play this sunday. Nobody knows...

Well I've got a dance to get to. See y'all at 10.

Evening Gang: Well we had a good time tonight. We went to our favorite German resturant and had a ball. If any of you are in Ft Worth go to the Eldelweisse and Tell Bernd that I sent you. He is one fine fellow and puts out very good food and a fine show.

I do use word when I have a bunch of things to say or many replys. Most of the time I just make it quick and use the reply. The problem seems to have been fixed. There is now a line down the right side of the reply box and the line is doing what it should do.

Fergie the diner looks good. So who is that in there?

Thank you to all for the annervesery wishes. I really hit the jack pot with Mary Ann. I must say that when I saw her coming down the isle I was really sure that I had the ONE. Tomorrow we're going to the Gaylord Texan Resort for the night. Mr Clark gave us a gift card this spring for doing the train show. It's a swank place that we would not go to otherwise. I'll see you all Sunday if I don't get to a puter tomorrow.

Good Night All

Whoa, forum overhaul AND ETD six.

I've been so busy applying for high schools lately. I don't think I've had a good nights sleep in about three weeks. But nonetheless, its good to be back.

Today I turned 14. While my family didn't seem to notice (though we had celebrated a few weeks earlier the same time as my grandfather aunt and sister) my friends did. Its good to be closer to driving...Mischief

Go Bucs, Bulls, Gators, and Rays BEAT BOSTON!

Tomorrow my parents and I will go to see the USF Bulls play Syracuse. My mom's boss had box seats but he gave the tickets to us.

Good evening...

Jerry .... tell us more about your U-Boat project.

Sawyer ... I hope your cramps go away soon and your does well next game.

JP ..Good to see you in the diner.

Lee ... The stools was a neat idea for a gift.

Fergie ... I like that diner.

Paul .. Happy Anniversary to you and May Ann!

Mark ... I hope the dance was enjoyable.

Jim CG ... Any progress at the club layout?

Duke ... who woke you up?

Morgan .... I hope there are some good deals for you at the train show.

C&O Terry .... Praying for your health.

PPC .... You really do like stirring things up, don't you?

Sad news from here.  Our good friend at church still has cancer after all that surgery and chemo.

More sad news. A real tragedy. At a home in the rural lower corner of our county near Fort Campbell Army Post, four family members were stabbed and their house set on fire. One survived. Dead are a 5 year old boy and two teen age girls. Senseless.

Good Night.

Back from the dance, which was horrible. I assume there will be a good one soon though.

Fergie: Football Pool? Bit confused there... Explain and maybe I can help.

 Good morning.

It's 53 and clear. High today should be in the upper 70's and it will be partly cloudy.

Did a little work yesterday with changing out some of the structure lighting. Also did some work on a pedestrian bridge that crosses over the tracks. It's a Model Power copy of a Faller kit and doesn't have the fine detail of the of the more expensive European manufacturer. On the other hand it will give my people a safe way to cross the tracks. It's not handi-cap friendly though. Had a slight interruption yesterday when the power went out. Turned out that a tree behind my parents property fell over on the lines. The power was out about 45 minutes.

 Good Morning All

Flo! A Saturday Morning Special please!

Mark: the pool works like this: You pick a winner and a loser for each week, Can't pick a team second time regardless if you chose them to win or lose last time so once you've used a team that's it! You're allowed one "by" for lose and win and you get two points for every right pick. And here is my choices up to last week. By the way it all went down hill after I came home from sea and started to do the picks myself. Should'a let Lisa continue but she said it was "My Pool" and I would have to work for it!!!

Normal 0

WEEK          WINNER            LOSER

ONE             Eagles                  Rams

TWO            Green Bay           Detroit

THREE        49’s                      Bengals

FOUR          Broncos               Chiefs

FIVE            Cowboys              Dolphins

SIX               Redskins              Rams

Anyway Peter King on the S.I. / CNN site should be put on waivers as he's kill'n me here!

RT: Glad ya made it in! Yes I was talking to Teffy about two weeks ago and I hope to get a hold of him today or tomorrow. He survived the Hurricane yet again but did lose some shingles in the process.

Lee: Thanks and yes it's the Walthers kit, which went together nicley. The figures probably cost me more than the kit!

Paul: Who's all in there there... Everyone! Though I can't find a Chandelier small enough... YET! Lighting will be with LED's and Clear plastic tubes (Left over sprues (sic) from windows) as i want to give it the florescent bulb look and keep it small. I would say it's only half complete. So much ta do so little time! BTW

Normal 0 HAPPY belated Anniversary!!!

Garry & Morgan: Thank you for the Kudos! as with everything it's a work in progress! Garry Sorry to here about your friend and her Cancer ordeal. Hopefully with additional treatment and support she will overcome this dreadful disease. As to the other business... Unfortunately it's everywhere and no one is immune from it!

 Greetings everyone

It's a beautiful sunny Fall morning here in the mid 'Lantic region, which for me means honey dues and no model railroading.  Later I'll be taking my 10yr-old to a soccer game and while that's going on, I'll try contacting a group of my fellow Alabama railfan friends from the coffee shop across the street.  They're known as the Alabama Rail Gang [ARG], and they're having a meet in front of the Irondale Cafe [where the movie Fried Green Tomatoes was filmed].  I'll be calling one of them from my cell phone and he'll put his phone on "speaker" mode, so it'll be like a conference call between me and all the 'Bama guys.  Gotta love this 21st-century technology!

Zoe, I'll have a vegetarian omelette with extra tomatoes and green peppers.  [hey Cape Jim - at what website do you find all those pics of the food you're ordering?]

jeffrey-wimberly
Ken: Nice to see that you made the leap to Digitrax as well. I hooked my Digitrax Zephyr up on the 6th and it's been a fascinating two weeks so far.
Jeff, your right about that! It makes a world of difference being able to have the headlight stay on even when a train is parked.  Best of all, now I can easily hostle my locos in my engine terminal - something that's nearly impossible for me on plain DC.
bjdukert
Ken  Good to see you on this side of the street,if you know what I mean? Smile
Duke, it was only a matter of time.  I saw too many good conversations on this side to stay away for much longer.  Hope you and your fellow Michiganers are doing OK in these troubled economic times...

Fergie
- that's a fine looking diner. I suppose you'll be putting a few LEDs under the roof?

Garry - That cancer's nasty stuff.  A close friend of my wife's has been undergoing a series of surgeries for *** cancer.  Every time after they operate, they keep discovering they didn't quite get it all, so now after the 3rd time they've decided to put her thru chemo.  And how's this for irony: The woman is an oncologist!

Fergie, remember how you and TEFFY used to tease me about my reluctance to jump into DCC? Well, those days are over: I’ve now got my Digitrax Super Chief and LocoNet fully installed on the layout, and decoders in 21 of my 50 locos. Yeeee-Haw!Tongue  Of course now I’m being pressured by Fugate & Company to buy a dedicated trainroom ‘puter with a PR3 adaptor, and install DecoderPro on it.  But first I’ve gotta buy a dozen signals…and with a daughter in college, my train budget has shrunk quite a bit!

I know I forgot someone... Sorry Ken!

Wow, What can I say! Congratz to say the least. DCC Wow!! As to the Train Room Computer small steps small steps. I maybe looking down the road at that when we replace our present Computer, which is presently about 7 years old. Whether or not it will have the right stuff to drive signals and CTC functions is something I will have to look at. Then again a Laptop might also be a possibility. Yes Son number one is looking at University for next year. I'm hoping he can keep his average going so he will be eligible for scholarships. The kid is a heck of a lot smarter than his old man was for sure! And Brass aquisitions have all but ceased on the MESS due to lack of fiscal restraint during our trip to Toronto last weekWhistling

Fergie

PS good to see ya again Ken

I'll second that.  I love me some biscuits and gravy!!!!  Now with me having a southern accent, people up here just love when I say biscuits.  I don't know why.  Dang Yankees  Cool

I am going to start on some tree making today, and maybe work on my scrap yard some more.  Ok guys, I will need some tips or if you have the topics saved.  I would love to see them.

1.  I think Aggro had a way to make some great trees.

2.  A good cheap way for a fence (chain link).  I was thinking with the bridal vail.  My wife works at a craft store and I could use here discount,

I can do the tree trunks, but I bought some filter and I don't wanna ruin it.

Doing some more work on my coaling station today. I made these embossed imprints of the roof panels in aluminum foil. They've been painted on both sides with rusty metal primer and will be cut up and glued into position on rotted looking rafters so it looks like a wind-torn rusted steel roof.

I was doing trees, while she was doing the chain-link fence.  I have NEVER done trees in my life, but I am very happy with them.  She did real good to on the fence.  She had to do it a couple of times but it looks good.  You should haave seen her boss's face when we went to get them vail.  My wife said, "its for a chan-link fence."  Boy, was she lost.

Well my salad is here, gotta eat!!

Thanks Jerry.  The gon was done with our old friend "the soldering iron."  I use it to dent up the top, and go behind that with some sand papar.  Kinda to smooth it out.  I took the iron next and dented up the sides as well.  Its not my best work, but it serves a purpose I guess.
