I can say I have never had lobster. One of these days I will.
I dug them up on a Yahoo search for 'food picture' and saved a bunch of them to a few of my Photobucket accounts. I put the IMG tags in a text file on my hard drive with captions describing what each tage is so I can copy and paste them any time I want.

Wifes "Ma's Place" model arrived today. Looks nice and will fit in splendedly. Also the 3 new (old Roundhouse) circus cars arrived and she was most pleased with them.

Anyways, we have started auditions for the school play. Every year the 8th grade is forced to put one on. This year, my class will be performing "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by Shakespeare. It is going to be the 1950's rock and roll highschool version... Woohoo. I think the play is going to be some time in march.

Evening Gang: Not much going on here. the son in laws parents are heading for home in England tomorrow. I will miss having them here. We didn't get to spend as much time with them as I wanted. I hope that they will be able to come back soon.
Tomorrow we get to sleep in late. We were up at 4am to get Mary Ann to her dialysis appointment so I'm a bit tired. John is coming over tomorrow to work on the stock trailer. We have a bunch of calfs to sell and the floor in the trailer is shot. Calfs without feet don't sell for much.

What that "punchline" was supposed to indicate, was how she'd be RIGHT about what I turned out to BE....I guess it isn't as much "common knowledge" of my being in insurance, as I'd hoped---at least to make that joke FUNNY.
And, by all MEANS, I'm not going to be one to denegrate the insurance biz----it has been "berry berry goot to me" for 35 years, and allows for me to live in two places nowhere NEAR the actual office of the agency (I'm 1200 miles away from it, right now).

ON THE MATTER OF DRY TRANSFERS: Some helpful modeller in here, put me on to some Canadian outfit that is wholesaling off the very LAST of the stock of RAILROAD themed dry transfers...and being in California now, I set it up that they'd mail my neighbour in B.C. my order....and she called today to confirm the fat envelope arrived (mostly WHITE alphabet sets, so I can turn all my UNDEC boxcars and stuff, into equipment owned by the good ol' F&A Rwy)
She also laughed at me, saying she saw a wad of dry transfers at the local DOLLAR STORE, there in Kelowna, B.C., and thinks MICHAEL's stores also carries them. So I hit the Palm Springs Michaels an hour ago, noticing they DID have sets of alphabets, but only in BLACK, and costing $3 U.S. for a skimpy set, with but ONE "&" provided (no doubt the most used item by model railroaders).
Anyway, thanks again to the fellow poster on this site who led me to TMR Sales!

Twelth night...we took down all the inside decorations today, and the outside lights are on for the last time this season. The worst of this is packing away the Christmas hats. (Santa Hats) They are the warmest winter hats we've come across, but do look a bit odd worn in February!
CapeJim: The Doctor's visit was more of a check in than a check up. I needed a prescription renewed, and he won't just write a bunch of refills on this one. He wants to see my blood pressure results over the past prescription time. Last Sunday morning was faily typical...maybe a bit lower than some have been, at 118 over 68.
I forget who mentioned Statins and possible dire effects. I cut a deal with the endocrinologist who wanted to put me on those. "Give me 6 moths to try Pysillium Bran" I said. That was over two years ago, and there has been no mention of Statins since! I use a table spoon a day in juice, with plenty of water at the meal so it can swell up and not suck water from me!
With both re-installed turnouts functioning, even the oddly behaving loco running through (not the loco it turns out (npi), but my indifferent track laying skills ) I'm now ready to complete the track cleaning, and have the whole layout operational again.
There may be a new loco in our future. My VIA train had a Life Like F40PH, but it's wheels wouldn't negotiate important parts of the route. My attempts to install RP25 wheelsets from NWSL ended in failure. So I was after the Kato version. Couldn't get the funds together before the model sold out...so I'm looking at going a bit into the future and positing a GE P42 on the Halifax to Sydney Nova Scotia run. How do you think a pale turquoise green loco will look hauling silver Bud coaches around? The loco paint scheme pre-supposes similarly painted coaches. ( bought by VIA from Eurpoe, and used now on the Atlantic, the Montreal-Halifax run.) I guess in the end it comes down to what I was going to say to whoever mentioned the other day that they were a bit worried about what picky visitors might have to say about their efforts. One of the original Coffee Shop patrons was "Teffy". He visited our house one time, and brought a present...a plaque that reads

A bit before Christmas I mentioned I had to be at an Arts Society dinner. Kris belongs and I was her guest...but she wasn't well that evening, so I went alone. John: The fire engine sounds amazing.
Rob: Lima TGV locos run about 40, you may not get many coaches though. Model power recenly put out a nice, but notaccurate model of the ICE, also in Accela scheme. They had on their clearence page a powered engine, four coaches, and an unpowered loco for 50+s/h. But I don't see it as of tonight. Runs great though. I have the accela, but with two powered locos, one turned around and modified with parts from the dummy. She flies.
