ok well maybe just the streets. I finished installing the bricks from the 4 Walther’s brick street systems kits I bought. Now I need to drill some holes for the manhole covers and mix a little paint. Hopefully tomorrow I can install the sidewalks and put the buildings back.

OMG...HELP HELP...what do I do? Wife handed me a Walthers catolog with items she marked in yellow that she wants for her layout. Good Lord, what a list. Does anyone know where to get HO scale Chicken Houses? How about Parking Meters? Think I need to switch to Z scale. And I need to correct what I said earlier, turns out wife has ALWAYS liked trains, just never had a place to set one up before.
Put up a medicine cabinet in the new master bathroom today. Discovered water got into the storage area under my painting porch. Smells mildewy, so put both dehumidifiers in there. I suspect with all that rain, it somehow came up from below, right through the sand covered plastic sheeting. Going to have to look at pooring concrete under there sooner or later. Ouch!

Since last week, I missed 2 Birthdays, Tom tried to kill someone, and kitties wanted a new bedspread. (I've been waiting for somebody's fluffy to be "spring" out of a tree cartoon style) Family health is inmproving, so that's good. And Sawyer is teaching a min class. Phht! I get mocked for even having a Bluebox with me to kill time with. Hi new guys!
On Christmas trains. Most of them came from Ebay, some bought, None have been made by me. Though that should change.
these are cars of unknown making that came from a club no longer running the trains. They are pulled by the F unit, which has a battery powered blinky on top and is DC. You see the sleigh runner, and the deer dorm. There;s a matching Bobber caboose with deer in the copuola. Also, Santa is "waving" in the Observation. The Obs car has a battery tail light.
are all Con Cor cars from a club that painted the rooves black. It was dubb the Christmas Shopper's Special and is pulled by a specially painted Dasher 9 (jokes on them, it;s actualy a SD90 by the box) painted for UP. I'm debating adding a Baggage car for the christmas gifts. We see. Also DC.
are all striaght COn COr cars released in the 90s as a CHristmas collector Set. We have booku duplicates to renumber and interior. I'm calling it a Christmas Cruise to the various holiday fests in Snowy North America. I painted up P-42s in digital to actually make to pull it. Then realized they were copyrighted schemes.
And there's been another endition of the layout. I hinted to it earlier, but here's a looking down on t. each color is it's own level, the orange being floor. There's sorta 4 levels at less than stellar heights, but for us, is probably good. This is just the trackless colored version, the black/white with track is cornfuzzling. I broke it down, but that's 3 more pictures. I'm settling on a floating scene as a hybrid o f North Vernon IN and the Rocky area in Pelle's book. (title escapes me) so I can run whatever with whatever. And I like my Freelance/

Jeff; ...at one time my parents may just as well have opened a zoo. We had 2 dogs, 4 cats, 3 guinea pigs, a hampster, a pet squirrel , 3 budgies and cockatoo. We also somehow ended up with chickens(started out with 8 chicks--ended up with chicken dinners), a family of orphaned racoons--hand feeding is so much fun, some baby birds that my mother would have dropped on her lap--even by a vet yet and an endless array of fresh/salt water fish. That may explain my habit of going--only two, only two, only...

Evenin everybody, Cup of Hot chocolate and some molasses cookies please. Turns out it’s a Golden Corral instead of a Western Sizzlin’ but it didn’t matter because it was packed and didn’t eat there anyway. I fail to see the reasoning to drive clear across the city , right past a Super Wally-mart on our side of town, to go to another Super Wally-mart. Reason? Because it’s new. Silly me. Luckily I survived the holiday crowd. Guess I do it for the same reason Rob gives up train space.
Sawyer- sorry you lost sounds like the game might have gotten a little rough at times. Why the age difference?

Garry, when it’s all said and done I’ll post pictures of the Walthers brick street kit. I have the bricks air brushed with a 60/40 mix of Polly scale mineral red FA14350/Soo red F414212. If I had to do it again I would buy sheets of styrene brick and cut to size because the kit is 2.75” x 3.5” tiles and those tiles are a pain to get to mate without having a small gap.

It's been a very busy few weeks for the family, but things are sure to slow down after the holidays, I see we have some new members in here, I like to see this place get full, Hey Zoe I'll take a large hot choclate please, it's going to be COLD here the next few days, with a chance of heavy snow (in the metro area of Portland!!)highs no more than 20 to 25 the low during the week will be around the teens, on Tuesday will be a record 12 degrees!!!! that's Alaska cold!!!!!!! at lease for us it is. Sometimes the East wind howls out of the Columbia River Gorge during a winter storm here, and it can get crazy,you can stand a good chance of losing your power and that can be bad news,We got our pipes all wrapped up, our van and car are winterized, the windows are covered, we have PLENTY of wood for our wood stove, I will give you updates on this strom,
The work on the new train room will start in Feburary, for you that don't know the Ceo of our MRR (my wife) said why don't you just take the garage and turn it into a bigger trainroom? I thought I was going to faint, you see the layout now is in the basement and 1. it's cold and damp 2.it get's kind of a mildew smell espcially during the rainy time of the year, so we talked some more about it, and the plans were off the ground, I entred this " Get your garage remodeled for free contest" well I didn't win which is just as well because when we start the project it will be more appreachated, well that's all I have to say now, it's great to see y'all again, I will be back from time to time to give updates, Take care and please be safe this Holiday season, Seasons Greetings to you and yours,

Well, it's supposd to be near 50 degrees today, and no rain this afternoon. Looks like another riding day on the old bike. Been doing some work to it this weekend, mostly cosmetic. Put on some new saddle bags, a new tool bag, a small tail bag, and some really cool emblems that I got from Zambini Brothers. Those guys do incredible work! Tomorrow the ugly stuff starts though. First rain, then sleet, then snow. Looks like a great day to drive something with 4 wheels!
