Good morning, Chloe.  I will have one of those giant cinnamon rolls with my coffee.  I am going to sit in this back booth for a while to see who wanders in.

I have not had much time here for a couple of days, so if I missed a post, keep after me.

Terry,  I hope that you have a fun OPEN HOUSE tomorrow.  Speaking of track cleaning, we should have a serious one.  Hope that everything runs smoothly tomorrow.

in a UNION PACIFIC mug, please & thank you.

Hope everyone is doing well these days.

Painters are almost finished with the addition. Next comes the floors. Will try to snap some pics to share soon.

Our oldest horse got caught up in a cattle gate a few days ago while we were out and the painters came to her aid by removing the gate to free her leg. We thought it was broke and nearly put her down, but giving her the benefit of the doubt, she has come around and is putting weight on that leg. For now, she remains with us and we are thankful for that.

Have a great day all. Cowboy Rob

Rob,  Sorry to hear about your horse.  It is hard to see older animals having accidents.  I  hope that she doesn't have any permanent tramma.

Jerry, I’m still working on rolling stock.  I’ve finished 72 revenue cars, 9 Caboose, 5 MOW cars, not counting the cars I lettered for the LS&W.  Last night I worked on installing backdrops behind the roundhouse.  On the rolling stock I’m a glutton for punishment, I just ordered 7 more cars. I feel like a slinky stuck on an escalator !

I have 50” of brick streets, sidewalks, and alleyways sitting under the work bench to upgrade the downtown section, but I really want to finish the rolling stock project before I get started in that.

Terry, I have a few MANTUA cars some are easy to convert to knuckle couplers and some are almost impossible, good luck with yours.

Rob, I hope your horse makes a full recovery.

Evening. Today it has been rain, rain, rain, and did I mention the RAIN!!! Sheesh, I'm surprised the place ain't flooded by now. I hate rainy days, if i want to go on the computer, I have to be downstairs, and on rainy days, my siblings get forced inside, and one is a girl who's 8 and a boy who's 7, and BOY, do they make noise!

Yes.  It sure has been dead this afternoon.  I will buy a round of RBF's.  Maybe Jim will show up for that.

HI guys

A nice T-Bone Steak, baked potato with extra sour cream AND butter, and some steamed asparagus PLEASE please.

Have been in the hospital for a week and half. To  best describe the food, Can you say sucked?           s-u-c-k-e-d. I knew you could!

Then today I had to have a tooth pulled. Only thing now is I can't chew the asked-for T-bone or asparagus. MAybe only the potato. Mashed.

Have to now hunt and poke over the forum to see what may have missed.

Y'all have a fime night now

Tall glass of cool lemon water, please & thanks.

***Terry, aren't there MOW/track-cleaning-cars for that? I would rather have a whole train of MOW cars than to clean a few feet of track. Guess that is something I have to look forward to, huh?Laugh

***Hoople, enjoy the Puyallup train show.

Wife is dragging me to a friends wedding tomorrow. Actually made me buy a suit for it. My old suits all burned up, so had no choice. At least there is suppose to be some good food there.Chef

Electrician will be here with the contractor to finish up the remainder of lights (including the track lights in the train room) & the fuse box. The build is really starting to look like something now.

Storms are heading in tonight, so padded old Sandy's stall and locked her up. Afraid she might lose her footing on the slope when it is raining and gets slick.

Have a good night all. Cowboy Rob

Cowboy Rob

Thank you.

Next time I will be sure to share the fun and invite you to share my room! Smile

The Dentist was hoping to do a root canal, insert post, and reatach crown, but not enough tooth left for post. SO extraction was the only option.Dead

Literally I left the floor I was checked on to, and went down stairs to the in-hospital dental clinic for the extraction. They wanted to keep me on the floor another day or two but I said I would be a miserable s-o-b patient after the extraction, and felt well enough to go home and be in misery at my own home (around my trains). Only I don't really feel like playing with them now.

now...where's the chicken soup?

Evening Gang:

Terry I'll keep my fingers crossed that the day will come soon when you can enjoy a good steak. I hope that the show goes well and that you can enjoy the visitors. It's nice that your friend will be there to handle the questions.

Rob I'm sorry to hear that your horse got hung up in the gate. It was a good thing that the painters were there and handled the situation. You'd better get them some donuts and coffee in the morning.

I got the flat cars all lettered and installed the trucks so I can run them tomorrow. I'll have to give all the trucks a good going over later. One pair of trucks will need new bearings. When I built them I had run out of ball bearings so had to use oil lite bushings in one trucks and let the other runm in the aluminum of the side frames. Actually the tender trucks on my steam locomotive have aluminum bearings and they have showed no signs of wear in the last 8 years. Of course these trucks have been running for about 25 years and haven't had the lub that the tender trucks have. It's no problem to bore out the side frames for ball bearings that I now have. I'll do that and get them back in service.

Well I'm going to hit the sack.

Good Night All

Good morning,

Well the weather here is going downhill all week. Rain to wintery mix to snow.

Galaxy, sorry to hear about the tooth, but glad you made it home.

Rob, how is the horse doing?  When can we see pictures of the house?

Hopefully my new rolling stock will be in the mailbox today or Monday.

 Good morning.

It's 49 and clear. Today's high is expected to be around 60 and it will be partly cloudy.

I received some Bachmann decoders in the mail yesterday still attached to the circuit boards from the locos they were in. It was only a minor task of just 5 minutes to disconnect them from the boards and remove the plugs so I'll have wire ends to solder to when I install the decoders in locos that are waiting for them. Yeah, I don't mind using Bachmann decoders, especially when they're FREE. I also have to do some track testing when I get the chance for it. Seems that my inside loop has a dead spot. Probably a feeder that broke loose.

Galaxy...... Sorry to learn about the 1 1/2 week hopsital stay .........and the tooth extarction....Feel better!

Thank you.  I certainly hope to feel better.

Actually the tooth extraction is doing ok so far, sore some, of course. I have  had to have a few extracted  before that actually were worse than this one. So that is the "good news" I guess.

The real issue though is I'm begining to think I pushed to leave the hospital before I really should have. Perhaps I should have followed the advice they gave and stayed a little longer. I am now doubting that maybe staying the next week could have been better for me.Dead

And as TG approaches, I am no where near ready for it at all. I think I will skip cooking a turkey this year.
