Carl and Lenny hang out on the stoop, while Aretha and Tom discuss music next door:

Death waits for the Number 6 train after a frustrating day with no customers:

Aging Danish playboy Gil den Stern makes a pass at Rose N. Krantz, Lt. Col., USMC (retired) on a park bench behind the statue of Civil War hero John Buford Brad:

Lance, training on his bike again, waves to his new girlfriend Karmen:

Is it possible to have TOO many people on a layout?

Up at Vindex, some customers kibbitz on the front porch while Edna shakes out a towel after dusting.

I really like that one...LOl!

Nice pics!

Looks like Harry Homeowner is getting ready to build some benchwork...

Meanwhile the yard jockey puts the last hack on the truck while the store manager gives directions to the customer's house.

Over at the engine terminal, the hostler gets ready to shift 7445 out to the ready track while the boss looks on.

The Laurel Valley conductor grabs his copy of the orders from the hoop at Williamsport.

Wally down at the Woolworth's is busy unloading a truck, so he doesn't notice the grain train passing by behind him.

Down at the Westvaco warehouse, Buzz pulls the chain to open the overhead door while Carl gets a pallet of paper ready to load on a boxcar.

Up at Vindex, some customers kibbitz on the front porch while Edna shakes out a towel after dusting.

And a heated checkers match occupies a couple of old timers up in the company housing at Vindex.

Who are the people on your layout?
Posted by Red Horse on Friday, September 12, 2008 9:26 PM

I was inspired by some pics in another thread to start a strange thread that will deal with the people who occupy our layouts.

A lot of times we place people on our layouts that remind us of people we know or they are there doing a particular job or placed in some strange spots just to see if our guests notice them and some are strategically placed for comic relief, what ever the case may be I thought it would be interesting to have a thread that focuses on the folks who inhabit our train towns.

Here is a scene of people visiting the Transportation museum on a nice afternoon.

Here we have Jarred who is at work driving a fork truck wearing gold disco pants!

And this pic shows a couple of people waiting for the last train too Clarksville while a station worker climbs a ladder to change a light bulb.

A young couple in love gets a ride into town!

And remember your people need not be alive too enter!!!

See where this is going, tonight I took a series of photos focusing in on just the folks who live, play and work in my town of Black Rock Mt., unfortunately it is getting too late to post them tonight but I will on Saturday with a little description on why they are on my layout.

I just thought this would be a little fun for those who haven't posted pics in a while because they have not updated their layouts; hope to see YOUR people pics posted here.

Now sing along with me...."Who are the people in your neighborhood, in your neighborhood"

Laugh [(-D]
