Tyler, that's a sweet model video. I Wish I could get my layout running.
Here's some work done by me. So far I have been working on a grade crossing for my Diorama. It's far from perfect. I still need to make the other approach, and fill in some gaps in the road. Also, the wood crossing needs some touch up.
Last weekend I finished weathering my interlocking tower. I think it might be a bit over weathered. Well it looks nice in my "prototype" photos.
Last, I have a "prototype" photo I took last weekend (The one in my signature). I decided to drag my diorama out side and take a few pictures. So far it's looking nice. My camera messed up on the exposure, and that's why it's so bright.

Your rock formation looks real, I like the texture and the color. Your are raising the bar high for this week WPF.
I myself would also like a close up of your city background if possible.
In reply to your last week question with regard to the engine house I posted, here are the dimensions, it is 21" long, 8.5" wide and 4.742 high, scratched built with styrene.

Nothing to post from me this weekend. doing some major landscaping work on the layout and at present can't run anything. Again everything looks awsome though.
Ok, so here is my project I have been working on for a while... here is how it starts the weekend...
Front view... obviously the roof is not yet in place, as I am installing the 1.5V x2 outside lights and 14V inside lights x2 (office + loading dock open door).....
Back view... this actually is what visitors will see (for the most part...front can also be seen, but you have to try....)... The door is open and light will be spilling from it...
Top view. Here is the interior...most of which will be hidden. I have to weather the metal roof on the left as well as a lot of bradgon work to do on the structure when complete! Man this craftmans kit stuff is fun... no where near the work of you masters out there, but I am enjoying it!

REALLY nice! From the start you've got, that scene is going to be pretty spectacular. I notice that you're using the WS risers--boy, those little puppies are sure timesavers when it comes to figuring out nice, even grades. And they're sturdy, too. I ended up using them in stacks to get a full 18" of rise between the levels on the Yuba River Sub, and they really work.
Here's a pic of Yuba Summit--everything under the high track and the scenery is WS risers. They've been there for six years and absolutely no problem at all. Even with my heavy brass articulateds.

Thanks! I used a blend of PollyScale Rust, Railroad Tie Brown and Grimy Black to get the color you see on the rails.

That's a great photo! 18"??? Wow! It wasn't until I started reworking a section of my layout that I discovered the idea of using vertical space for the layout. Since this is my first layout, I was only thinking in a 'flat world' frame of mind. A visit to a friend's layout awoke me to the vertical dimension I was missing.....I only wish I knew of it before I started building the layout.
