East Texas District of the Santa Vaca and Santa Fe Rwy,
Santa Fe secondary line in the Piney Woods of East Texas based loosely on the Somerville-Navasota-Conroe-Cleveland-Silsbee-Beaumont line in middle 1950s. Main scene on layout is one courthouse square town somewhere along the line, ficticiously named Johnston after a model RR friend who died 31 years ago.

I'm planing on modeling the Wisconsin and southern railway's Reedsburg subdivision.
The WSOR is a prototype railroad that runs through southern Wisconsin. Since I'm only 12 years old, and have one railroad all ready, this is in the planing form when I get my own large house and begin my job as a railroad engineer (I Hope[^])

Mine is a combination or PRR for mainline, Ma&Pa for branchline, and the WW&F for the narrow gauge. Anything else is my free lance Virginia & Lake Erie. Time period is circa late 40's to mid 50's. All of this is done in relaxed fashion since I'm more of a railfan than an operator when it comes to running the trains. The layout itself is 11x18 double track mainline with layover tracks around the room with the branchline and narrow gauge planned for the center. Benchwork is done and the second track of the mainline is currently being laid.

I model a HO 4' 6" x 10' layout that looks like a cross between David Haines' Raton Pass and Ron Kuykendall's Western Elcectic! [:D] Anyone who sees it would say the same!

The layout I'm getting ready to build consists of about 1.5 miles of the lower end of Abo Canyon, NM (Santa Fe). I'm trying to create everything as prototypical as possible. I don't think anyone has ever modeled something that specific; at least not recently.

I model freelanced 1960’s. My fictitious location is called the “Belmar Valley” located somewhere in the east coast mountains and serviced by N&W (and whatever other RR wants to come through[:-^]). It’s an older place that has seen better days.

The Belmar Valley is a 9x11 “L” shaped N-scale layout, and is loosely based on the “Atlantic Long Haul” Atlas layout plan.

I’ve posted several recent pictures of my layout on the Rail Images site. These pictures are not the greatest quality (hope to get a good digital camera soon), and it’s the first layout I’ve taken this far into the scenery stage, so a lot of what you will see is experimental & not complete.

I model the Sugar Cane Sub of the GDRM&MCo with in street trackage at Townsville and Ayr. Using small regauged and rebuilt sugar cane bins, large SD90MAC-Hs tow endless rakes of bins loaded up with freshly harvested sugar cane from the farms to the mills. Era 2004 with larger 15-20 ton cane bins emerging from the factory to replace the older cane bins. The trains that go through the cities are towed along by smaller FJ class swithchers that replace the SD90MAC-Hs on the city runs. Running beside QR trackage for some time the passengers on the passenger trains occaisionally get to see the famed Tilt Train on its runs between the major cities. Currently adding overheadwiring for new high speed service.

I freelance model Minnesota railroads (Amtrak and BN) during the 70's and 80's. My setting is suburban, and I have both passenger and freight.

My track layout is based on the best prototype there is -- the design of the Lionel 027 layout my Dad built for me when I was a kid. I've added a few turnouts here and there to make things more interesting, but the basic design is dear old Dad. He died over 25 years ago when I was in my mid-twenties and he was only 55. I've got his picture on a shelf overlooking my layout. He smiles every time the train comes out of the tunnel.

It's the best darned layout there ever was.

I use a layout from the Atlas layout book #13. It's 4x6 (feet not yards) and I basically use B&M diesels and Amtrak. no specific place or time. I am planning to add another layout from that book, The Great Eastern Trunk (4x8) .

Freelance HO scale, featuring an interchange between BN and UP, with a planned shortline PAD Lines named after family, to be added later. The layout's current plan does not have mainline running. It focuses on industrial switching, interchange switching, and yard work. I finaly but down some track and connected a power pack to move some trains but I have a long way to go.

I'm modeling the Willmar & Western, a granger shortline in western Minnesota circa 1961. Will eventually interchange with the Great Northern. A very small N scale layout (2' x4').

I'm building a free lance layout, but will feature mostly Erie motive power (steam) with a farming theme. Layout pretty much planned out but waiting for funds and getting well enough to do the physical building. I had to have major emergency surgery the week before thanksgiving and go back in for another one in a week or so, then six to eight weeks healing after that. Have been building a few box cars for it along with enjoying my self here. Layout will be a double track main line in an oval around a 6x10 area with sidings for switching duties. I decided on the double track as I like to see trains meet. All track will be Atlas code 83 flextrack and Atlas #6 turnouts and a minimum 22" radius curves. Also will be DC powered. I'm going to try something new to me and that is 2" extruded foam for the base. I've heard a lot of positive input for it here. I have this thing for lights, so I'll have all my stuctures with interior lighting, working signals to indicate turnout position and may even try installing lights in some vehicles and a farm tractor or two. Now if I could just find some HO scale kerosene for my caboose marker lights!!!!![:-^][:-^][:-^][:)][:)][:)]

I have a Om 1/45th scale Swiss meter gauge layout that is 10'x18' in size. Current rolling stock consists of 5 locos, 13 passenger cars, and 9 freight cars all made by Roco and no longer being in production. When track laying project has been completed will have about 150' of track. Euipment era is 1980 to present, the layout has no name but represents the area served by the RhB, Furka Oberalp, and Brig Visp Zermatt railways.

I'm modeling the NKP between Bloomington and Peoria, Illinois, circa 1949-1950. My layout is a three-level layout designed around moving freight from staging (Bloomington) to the yards in Peoria (the end of that line), and picking up trains from Peoria to move them to points East. Mostly, operating mainline trains and yard switchers, with a little way freight thrown in. I'm "mostly" a prototype modeler, wanting to stay as accurate to the prototype as my time, budget, skills and patience will allow!

The Sacramento Belt Line--an industrial belt line operated by the Sacramento Northern and Central California Traction, two electric interurban lines that switched to diesel in the mid-1940's to early 50's. Most of the layout will be within Sacramento's original city limits and be located on in-street trackage, serving various industries. Emphasis is on urban railroading, very sharp curves, and early diesel power, which will eventually be supplanted by late electric engines and trolley overhead. Passenger trips will be represented largely by "fantrips" featuring older electric trolleys, which will serve to make switching more interesting--that sleepy freight-peddler run will have to be sped up so the track will be clear and switching done before a trolley full of rabid railfans comes 'round the bend, cameras clicking!

I'll be modeling the UP (along with some other SP, ATSF and maybe Rio Grande) in HO in the 1940-1960 era. Prototype place and equiptment, free lanced track plan. My layout will be 5x8 and will be based on Wyoming and California (basiclly the West). Maybe a Omaha/Cheyenne to Los Angles run. I really haven't decided yet.
