Yes he did, but I would rather post in CudaKen's.

You hurt my feelings. What did I do?

Fash, there is a cross over on the North end of the bench. You maybe going blind but, I post part of the posting, then check and post again. You may have caught the posting while I was editing.

Lamoille, yes and no. I started the new posting before Haven I-5 started theres. But, I did change the date from 03-23-08 to 03-23-08 to the 31st. I have never started or post in Weekend Photo Fun and do not know the ruels if any about starting the posting.

Hope I did not step on any toes. Time to run trains and thanks for the answers.

I must be going blind, I don't recall those last few pictures before...

One more question, Is the nw section connected to the rest of the layout by a switch I can't see? I don't see a place for the grade to tie into on the other parts.

Thanks for the reply Fash. They are Athearn Pearl Brewing Company Country Club cars. I have 7 of them and love the colors.

That;s why I like them. I have seen those cars, and they do look nice.

I started a new posting and I hope that is OK. I started to use the current one but looks like a small fire fight may have broken out.

Well I finally have something to show!  I have let the new section set for around 6 months and never touched it. In the last few weeks I got the fire to work on it again. Main thing is I don't run the layout till I spend some time on the new section called K-10 Mining

Mods may see differnet, but I like the thought. Looks good so far. What are the box cars on the angle siding?

I started a new posting and I hope that is OK. I started to use the current one but looks like a small fire fight may have broken out.

Well I finally have something to show!  I have let the new section set for around 6 months and never touched it. In the last few weeks I got the fire to work on it again. Main thing is I don't run the layout till I spend some time on the new section called K-10 Mining

First picture is of the gain elevator line. I have never been into switching or OP's but it was time to give it a try. Outer loop is the C branch line. Passing spur is where the cars will be dropped off. Where the coal cars are sitting will be where the elevator will be. For me this is complex switching but you have to start somewhere. Main thing it all works with out a hitch.

Next picture is the A line and grade to the mining company.

My A line will cut through the center of the new bench. Turn out off the A line will lead to the mining company. It is a 4% grade but space is a little tight. Turn is all so 18", but I think I have the power to push 10 hoppers up the grade.

Next picture is of the hidden staging, small but a start! Garage door is north. About ½ of the bench you see to the east now will be covered. K-10 Mining will be toward the South and about 4 inch above the bench. East side will have the town of Alton IL, it will be around 15 inches high.

 Town of Alton IL

Next picture maybe a problem. I started the grade off a # 4 Atlas turnout to the mining company. I will find out I the next few days.

Most amazing thing is I have been into the new bench so much? I have 3 new engines and 4 freight cars I have not opened in 2 weeks! Rather spend the time working on the bench than installing decoders or building rolling stock.
