I build/rebuild and program computers. I used to rebuild old cars but had to give that up due to health reasons.

Collecting and shooting surplus rifles, and rebuilding a 1948 CJ2A Jeep.  I generally model railroad in the winter and shoot in the summer.

Film production (I'd actually like this one to be more of a profession someday), creative writing, and plumbing...  Well, that last one is more out of necessity these days.  Banged Head [banghead]

I used to play Ultimate Frisbee from spring through fall.  Then I got too old to keep up with the many other twenty-somethings that played.  Frisbee golf is probably more my speed these days.  Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

I dabble in woodworking as time permits.  I hope to do more of that after I retire.

Enjoy

I am a seasonal hobby person!

Winter- MRR and gaming

Spring and Fall- I am at the gun club and frissbee golf.

Summer-camping and a large collection of hobby R/C cars and a R/C tiger tank that shoots pellets. When it gets into the 100 degree temps I will go back into the MRR and gaming.

Very busy and very fun is my game.

Reading (and, occasionally, writing) science fiction.  Military history.  Gymnastics (as a spectator) and NASCAR racing (ditto.)

And my most important (and most expensive) hobby, my wife of 47+ years.

I switch back and forth between building Hot Rods and Modeling Trains.

Current project is a 1987 Chevy S-10 Extended cab shortbed Tahoe edition Pickup, Ground up restoration, repowered with a 1969 327 cid small block and PowerGlide. Slightly Lowered, 8 inch wheels up front, 10 inch wheels out back, all Polyuethane bushings, all Stainless Steel fluid lines.

Last Project was a 1967 Camaro. 327/4 spd. Ground-up restore with similar treatments.

Used to be into R/C airplanes (72 inch w.s. Trainers), R/C Trucks (Tamiya Big Brute Toyota 4x4) and Off-Roading (with a small group of friends, mostly with Toyotas and Jeeps).

Do you consider throwing money into a hole in the water a hobby?Whistling [:-^]                         String and RC planes when I was young. Used to enjoy building those stick balsa paper covered planes. Slot car phase for a while too.

Just trains now.

Hello all.

Not that I'm tired of model railroading, but just for the heck of it I thought I'd see what else you guys - and girls might be into in the way of hobbies.

Personally, I collect robots, WWII 12" German action figures (mainly officers) and R/C items such as cars, flying craft, etc. I also build things once in a while like the life size Frankenstein I built last October for Halloween. I use to build wooden models from scratch of everything from guns to airplanes to ships but had to give it up due to health reasons. I also use to be into cowboy action shooting but the popularity of that died down. Once in a while I might get a .22 rifle or pistol out and do a little target shooting out back of my house here where I have a firing range. And that's about it for me...
