BTW you're the only one who's been complaining about the photo signatures.

Dougal and 4884, I have nothing against you personally, and no complaints about about your post's lengths, or content, either, but the filesize of the photos is causing the entire board to slow down, in ways that you don't seem to realize.

When each of you responds 2 or 3 times on one page, which seems to be happening more and more often, it takes much longer to open the page. Because your signature changes go to every post you have ever made, you have created something that almost has the same effect as a virus.

Please, I'm asking you nicely, before there is trouble (I promise it won't be me that reports it) change them back. I don't want the privilege of posting photos to be removed.

Mine's at least a bit smaller than bigboy's (no offense to him or anything, just comparison), anyway, you guys are also complaining about posts that are too small and the signatures are too big.

Well, I'd fit right in, I'm 42. I know what its like to be your age and like trains, you sound like me 25 years ago. Any of your buddies have a scanner? They're a must when railfaning. Let me know next time you guys go. Did you get to see 3985 two summers ago when it came to St Paul?

Hey, Hawks I really like that, local and the right size!!! I'd go rail fanning with you, I would even drive, all you would have to do is get here, but its closer to you than Newport, I live just over the river. Email me if you're interested.

PS I'm on my way out the door to run to Hudson to pick up a PIZZA.[:D][:D][:D][dinner]

As much as we all like photos and I have a lot, maybe if we just scrap the pictures and stick to the words. Anyone using an older system will just say to heck with it and stay away from the forum. And we don't want that do we boys!

WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!

[soapbox]Please resize your photos, to make them more user friendly. I have a broadband connection and I can see the difference in speed. Those members who are not as fortunate to have that access speed will start to get upset very soon.

Keep in mind that every time you change your signature, it goes back to every post you have ever made, and for some prople that is a lot.

If you want to share pictures that's fine, just not large files on your signature, PLEASE!!!
