Last week I sent my newly purchased RTR Athearn locomotive off to a fellow forum member after he offered to weather & detail my locomotive pro bono. I have never met him and have only casually spoken to him via this forum.

Has anyone seen it? Wink [;)]

LOL, I was actually refering to a post last week where someone asked me if I was going to include the original Plainville Turkey Farm on the layout.  The Plainville Turkey farm was originally a dairy farm in Plainville, NY that decided to start raising turkeys along with the dairy operation back in the early part of the last century.  They were very sucessful, BTW Wink [;)]  That barn will house the dairy part of the operation.  There is info about the history of  Plainville Turkey farm here: http://www.plainvillefarms.com/compinfo/  Be sure to check out the barn on the page.......  In 1925 they were raising turkeys, but still were a dairy operation.  There is a shed with the kit (not to mention the farmhouse) that may house some turkeys (Depends on whether i can find the room in that location for it. If not, it won't be a turkey farm at all).

BTW, I was born and raised on a dairy farm in NYS!  We also raised hogs and chickens and several hundred cats (or so it seemed).  They kept the mice and rats down to a minimum............

JKtrains, I like it. You did a nice job weather. Although I think it's a bit to heavy where the DB would be. Other wise it is very nice weathering job.

Robby P. nice weathering too!

Hi all,

First time posting a picture here. This is a custom painted Kato N scale SD70Mac. Took about three weekends to complete. There are other photos at this site of mine.

I have used what little time I have had this week for modeling to make a barn for what will be a Turkey Farm I hope.  This is a three in one laser cut kit from American Model Builders.  Here it is being test fitted after the basic structure was glued together.

One last photo of it from the other side of the layout.

This is the first kit I have done from AMB and find that is the best laser cut wood kit I have done so far.  Very well made with excellent and easy to follow directions.

That's really a nice job on the barn. It really looks familiar though.

A fellow club member did this and the farmhouse, he was also impressed with those kits.

After working on it a few minutes every day it is now basically assembled.

I built this yard this week. Its based on the Bekin United yard featured in the supplement to the latest MRR Planning mag.The white area in the lower right is a space for a ship and a dock.

Hers some of the MDC Roundhouse John Allen commerative kits I'v built in the last coupla weeks. The train in thre yard is one and the freight too. The freight is hauled by a Spectrum 10 wheeler, and the engine in the yard is part of the John Allen set.

Thats a great looking engine house.  Very realistic.

I've been working on my layout all week.  Working on wiring and misc. things.  I would have some pictures, but the camera died once I took these photos.

Heres a few on my personal cars.  The Montana Rail Link will hit eBay.  The switcher I got for my wife since she likes working in the train yard.  Heres a couple of my gons as well.

Well, since it appears that no one has started the thread yet, I'll take the honors and get things started.

This is a little project I just finished for a fellow forum member.

Before:

After a some detailing and weathering (prototype photos on the background)

More details on the project to follow in a separate thread that will contain more pics.
