Would like to see more Utah Belt photos
Posted by brothaslide on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 10:54 PM
I enjoyed the recent article in MR about Eric Brooman's Utah Belt. It seems like only a few areas of the layout were featured. I would love to see more photos of the entire layout. Are there any photos posted on the internet?

Regards,

Sean

Ab-sa-tootly!! I'd like to see Eric write and article on his methods of carving rock work for MR. I understand the layout is fairly new, it may be other areas are not finished yet.

I can't understand exactly why but the Utah Belt has totally fascinated me since the first photo I saw in the mags.

I mean it has nothing of interest to me as I don't particularly like western scenery & I don't like modern diesels or modern railroading but I REALLY like the UB. Go figure!

I guess it's because he models as complete a railroad as you can find, has excellent scenery skills and is very, very good at kitbashing and has a great eye for what looks "right". Maybe it's just the total respect and admiration I have for his skills and ability to build such a fine railroad. I don't really know.........but I want to see more!

Allen Keller needs to do a tape on the Utah Belt. He can bring you moving video of the layout.
