If no one else is going to start it , here goes.

This is my Downtown Deco coin laundry being built. first shot is the shell , second shot is the interior because it will be lite. Third shot is a test setting on the layout to  see about placement.

I'd sat that you are doing marvellously!  It's a nice theme you have, and this fits in rather nicely, the whole diorama.  Turned out well, too. Cool [8D]

Here is another hurried image, but it's all there is from me.

Have fun, everyone.

Someone decided to take the old Caddy out for a weekend spin. Here it sits dead on the roadside.

I have a fairly large downtown area on the layout that I don't think I've shown before.  I find it difficult to photograph because it's so much longer than it is high.  Anyway, I've done some judicious cropping - hope these pics aren't too long and skinny.

corner of Cliff and Church

Corner of Cliff and 1st

Corner of Cliff and 2nd

Corner of Cliff and 3rd

And a night shot thrown in for good measure.

Cheers.

RRCanuck, those are fantasic. I really like the color variation you have in your buildings and the detail is really good too Thumbs Up [tup]

I am just starting on my "town" ... as it is.  I only have 1-3/4" of depth above the stone wall, so mine will never have a fully dimensional look.  I am playing with photo images for the back.

Tom

Here is my first post to this thread. I was going thru some old stuff I had and decided to put a couple of structures together to make one structure,it is a Swift Meat processing company. I took photos outside.

New Haven switcher spotting a reefer loaded with swinging beef.

Trucks being loaded for local delivery.

I love the Swift plant.  I've got an old cardboard Suydam one that I'm refurbishing.

I'm actually up skiing this weekend, so I'll pull up one I took a couple of weeks back.  I promised myself I wouldn't put this picture up before December:

I recently started a new scratch build project. The prototype is a south buffalo railway 65 ton Whitcomb centercab engine. Here is a picture of it after it went to the Everett railroad.

 http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/misc-e/evrr56s.jpg

The cab structure is ready to have doors scribed.

The hood sides with doors scribed and vents cut open.

Still a long way to go on this one.

Great pictures, guys.  The shots that follow were taken with a pinhole lens camera, so the focus is terrible; but, they show they layout from a railfan's perspective rather than a bird's eye view.

MRH044 - great MOWs. Thanks for sharing. I love what you G guys can do. To work on my mountains I had to finish a little back work. Because I have a 4x8 up against the wall, I need all me scenery removeble so I have access. But some of the back work needs to be in there first, so under the tablework to fill a little gap. Here is the progress. A pic of the hole and the fill. Still a little to go. I had to shorten on tunnel protal to deal with the close tracks. I love this terraforming stuff as you all know.

If you think you have it right, your standards are too low. my photos http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a235/ARTHILL/ Art

Your structure looks familiar. Did you do as I did and make the car shop building into a light engine service facility?

I'm pretty sure it's a Bachmann. I found it in the club's discard pile took it apart and re-did it.

Heres a few updated pictures of my BLMA radio tower. I've added a couple of Radomes. I think its just about done. The tower is unprototypical in that the upper section ends in white. It should end in orange. (I should know I'm responsible for 4 microwave towers). My train wife suggested I trim the top section with an orange band. It actually looks great, although you'll never see a tower look like that in the real world.

Close up...(The Orange color you see is the real deal. I borrowed some paint from our tower crew).

The Low Gap trestle is coming along.  This week has seen the addition of green stuff on the west end.  Here is #102 easing onto the trestle.

Here is an elevated shot of the west end.  The rocks turned out pretty good, courtesy of the suggestions given in the "layouts" forum.

Next week should see a mountain rise on the east end and some more forms roughed in.

A simple contribution - P2K CB&Q GP7 with additional details added and lightly weathered.  The Q tended to keep their equipment looking good.

MRH044 beautifully detailed units you have there. Do they have Phoenix sound systems? I'm a G guy too. I'll post some snow shots that I got this morning if you guys want.
