I'm 82 1/2 years old, started my model rr at 70,, although I have always loved trains----and I am planning on enjoying them many more years! I just ordered another engine and my wife, Nance, helps me and is also my secretary as I have very limited eyesight. She also reads the posts to me. Keep on modeling! You young fellows have a long ways to go! Enjoy!!

Seeing this poll makes me feel old at 42. I know I can't be old yet becase I have so much more to learn from my elders. Then I have to pass on what I have learned to my juniors. Isn't that what we're all supossed to do?

As another 56 year youngster, I can see where the real active age groups are. Should have started the poll at 30. Seems that when I was younger I either didn't have the time or the skills yet to do this hobby justice.

Also, It seems that every time I got a layout running and some of the scenery done, it was time to move back into another apartment and sell the works!!
