Getting ready to scenic my "Trailer Park". I've set the structures in place to see how it will all layout. The road is not done. I've got a couple layers of drywall spackling mixed with black acrylic yet to spread over the foam asphault road.
Oh, and JK, I'm using my Canon G7 10Mp camera. There's lots of buttons on it, so it will take some time to figure out
Couple of SooLine engines. The Geep is an Atlas while the SD-40-2 is a re-painted Kato.
Wow, everybody, what a great, even exceptional start to our thread! Mike, the RS11 is wonderful...really well done, and great image, too.
Sue and Larry, it goes without saying, but... and very
Keddy Wye gets better lookin' each time out.
Nothing from me this weekend. I am in the interior of the Province and taking an all-day excursion Saturday on ex-CN 2-8-0 #2141.
Best wishes to all of you.

Thanks, Mitch. Those spotlights came from a Busch light bar kit that I used to build Sheriff Herbies unit and they were a devil to get in if you want to have them upright. Another member here has kindly agreed to make some PI decals so we'll see how those look (or if you can even tell they are there. ) BTW, Sheriff Herbie's car is a $6 Model Power car and it is a much more accurate model of a Crown Vic PI than the Busch model. It even has the dual exhausts coming out below the bumpers in the right place. It started out as a plain black unit and I added the light bar, decals, and other details.
& thanx to you Jim-you've given me some ideas on to model HO Crown Vics on the hopefully future layout (have to please my best bud with an "in pursuit" scene!)
Steamage-I'm interested in that wigwag also. Would it happen to be an old Don Fowler Slow Motion? Reason I'm asking is I have one, 25+ years & still unassembled. I got it as a young teen, but opening the box, I was totally intimidated by the assembly of it & put it away. Any tips on it (if in fact it is) & if someone knows about the above product? (I still have it in the box by my workbench)
UP2CSX wrote:John, that is a great idea for guard rails that are both good looking and cheap. Where did you get the corrugated roofing? It looks like you just needs two...I don't know what you call them...raised corrugated section for each line of guard rail? And that view down to Keddie Wye is fantastic.
Been working on the Railroad so no new photos from me. Here are a couple of oldies instead
Enjoy the weekend

Well, it's the weekend and it's a photo, but I don't know about the fun part. I've decided to tear apart and redo a portion of my layout. Thankfully, the only things completed on it were the track work and wiring the mainline. I hadn't gotten around to ballasting or scenery work yet. This is a picture of the area .
There was an aisle on the backside of the table that was only 17 inches wide and it didn't have a backdrop behind it. I didn't like either of those facts, so this is pretty much the way it looks now...
I oughta be up and running trains again in... maybe 2 or 3 weeks.. depending.

Hi all. New to the forum but have been reading it for a while now. Congrats on pressing on after last weeks debuncle.
WOW!!! you guys are great i am in the planning stages and am getting a brain full of ideas. Now all i need is a basement to put my ideas together.
alco's forever!!!!! Majoring in HO scale Minorig in O scale:)
UP2CSX / Mark R. and others,
The loco in the fist photo I posted is NYC/PL&E Mikado #9519.
Sorry about the screw-up in labeling the second photo. It is a 'tourist scene' contrived to fill an empty spot in my downtown area.
I edited the original to reflect the change above.
Keep up the good work everyone. You are always inspiring.
Remember its your railroad

We had some unscheduled visitors this weekend. They showed up in the middle of the night and all assumed that they would be gone in the morning, but they seem to want to hang around. They are in a rather isolated section of the layout. Railfans, I suspect.
(The figures are from the Preiser N-scale auto mechanics set. The shuttle is scratchbuilt from sheet styrene with detail parts from old military models ressurected from my scrap bin.)
I have figured out what is wrong with my brain! On the left side nothing works right, and on the right side there is nothing left!
Thanks, Crandell. Your excursion sounds fun. The weather here is rainy and windy. Hope that your trip on the 2-8-0 has better. Maybe you will have some pictures to share next week.
John, I always enjoy shots of the Keddie Wye. You have done such an amazing job with the Bragdon Foam.
Jon, As usual, your layout give the rest of us something to shoot for in quality.

New posting to forum, long time reader. Lots of great ideas, info, and knowledge contained in these pages. It has been great help in my start back into model railroading. Anyway, here are some shots from layout in progress.

must have been the shots then that made the paper look heavy. My mistake.
And as a just because:
I like the moving bits ...
I had the power on so the drivers were barely moving, and used a 5 or 10 sec exposure without any special lighting or anything (just the flourescent ceiling light)
and FYI presario - I'm not supporting Jeff in any way shape or form. Just trying to give CONSTRUCTIVE criticism... so bugger off
