The Tour de France is over, so here's the winner of what was left of it by the end, Alberto.  Now riding for Team Preiser, he's taking some perfectly legal potassium in the form of a banana.

Next down the road in the pink sweats is Floyd, who is either having some trouble with his bike, or maybe he's railfanning the RS-3 and GP-9.

Finally, Lance is bringing up the rear.  It's OK, he's earned it.  Besides, he's waving to his new girlfriend, Carmen...

Great Stuff Selector, et al...

I have been busy lately and have gotten behind... I am writing a family project book around the building of my PB&J Railroad.... I have been taking pictures but can never manage to remember to upload them, so here you go...

I designed a logo and masthead:

Then several losing track plans:

Eventually I settled on this one because when I set it up, it didn't give me as many fits as the others-including running my too long passenger cars around the curves:

And finally these are the kits that I bought years ago that I finally got to build...

though the little bridge is just a rickety looking thing I built out of toothpcks for another project

Here's a picture of a way freight train returning to Blackhawk behind a 2-6-2. The caboose is one of my Walthers CB&Q "way cars", and I installed the grab irons on this one in the last cople of days.

You control panel is very neat. Being I live in the Seattle area, (Renton,WA) I am  thinking of modeling the Pacific Northwest. Northern Pacific, Great Northern, Spokane, Seattle and Portland, Chicago, Burlington,  and Quincey.

or I free lance based off prototypes from up here in the Seattle area.

Its been awhile since I posted anything. Here are a few photos taken during a major cleaning of the layout in preparation for making a video.

I'm Baaaaaccccck! Again.  Hmm, somebody doesn't like our stuff?  Well then, how about some BIG toys?

Having survived a loco derailment - 1/1 scale yesterday, I thought I would put a few full scale photos up here to share.  These were taken at the Rochester and Genesee Valley RR Museum in Rush, NY (South of Rochester) during their Diesel Days Weekend yesterday.

Here is the derailment.  It was their old RS1 Loco (built in 1950).



I was riding in the cab when it happened.  Didn't really amount to much as it was just creeping into the yard at that point.  Took about an hour to get things back up and running as it effectively shut everything down till it was cleared.

Here she is (on right) at the top of the hill near the NY Museum of Transportation also in Rush, NY.



Lets see how good y'all is.  What are these contraptions?

This one they said may be the oldest one in existance (1920's????) and has been completely restored.  They were showing her off to the people riding on the trains running back and forth on the tracks by the workshop.  What is it?



This contraption got to where it is under its own power but hasn't been moved in years.  Bet I got you on this one!!!!  Hint.  It was used at Eastman Kodak for many years.



BTW, these last two photos were taken in an area not open to the public.  A friend and I were given a special tour on by a member of the museum after a request by a MMR (the guy who inspected my layout for the Golden Spike Award a few months back).  Thanks Harold!

Fiat, that MP15DC is looking nice! Love the MRL scheme. I've got a Union RR MP15 for decaling into B&M arriving on Tuesday (my first sound locomotive, woot!). How have your experiences with it been?

Thanks. He likes coming over here, mainly because I have an internet connection and I have way more track and trains than he does and he gets to do just about anything he wants, within reason.
