Ok maybe it bothers me a bit...I'm so use to going from notch 6-7-8...so it's kinda weird when they went from 6-7-no 8...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0K9YDu_NHb8

I was quite the opposite. I ended up being the yongest person from K-12th grade. (I graduated when I was 17) I'm a sophmore in college now, and am only 18.
Railfan Alex wrote:Whops. That sucks. But now you'll need to lead everyone in your grade because you are the oldest.
Also, girls like older guys. Might explain some of my bad luck. (in 12th grade I was younger than most of the 11th graders)

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....
2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.

DITTO!

That was kinda like me......I had German One in my 8th Grade Year...this weird science program that fits 3 years of science into 2 years(8th grade and Freshman)...this High School English Class...and I SHOULD of been in Algebra 1, but nope......school starts for me in like 2 weeks, and I still haven't done half of the things I wanted to do this summer...

Ya we do get more days off during the year and we get out the first week of June. So I guess in a way it's kinda sorta alright. hehe.
I still have to wait 6 more days for my paycheck and then prolly til that weekend to start benchwork cause school will have started. Just trying to live up the last few days of Summer....
That's too bad...
I don't start until the 3rd of September.
But do you get more days off during the year I guess?

I Wish!
YAY, BAND CAMP OVER....for the week......now I can work on my SDL...but I need to memorize the songs...the director is testing us...
Alex, I still think that loco is overly huge...
Sawyer looks good.
Tyler, sweet vid. I did that with my old camera, can't do it with my new one...
Awesome Ty! I tried that with my camera, but it has since died, and I was just testing with it at the time.
Packers#1, great stuff there!
Quebec & New England? Did Yoshi change the name again?
You're right Alex, that wouldn't really work on my curves... 22" radius would be a little tight!
I finally succeded in strapping my camera to a gondola (My flatcar tipped to much when I tried it) to make a train ride video. It's not a front view; as neither my video camera nor the regular camera that I used for this would clear the edges of the ROW, it's as if there's an HO scale hobo with a video camera... "Side Door Pullman" On the WRS
I took this over the Dooley-West Concord stretch and in Concord itself. The pass wouldn't work because all you'd see was the side of an unfinished hill, plus the camera clipped the trees... Conrail C40-8W #6089 did the honors of pushing the gondola.
Enjoy!
Went out and photographed my GP30 earlier. I'll have photos of my GP35 when my dad's friend brings it over (he bid on it for me since I don't have an ebay account).
and here's my progress on the layouts:
Added paper towels for moubntains (not soaked in hydrocal, but in plain water, we'll see how it all works out).
I've moved the loco servicing to a single long track (it only services 2 locos).
(sorry it's blurry)
lol, thats a bit better.
At least I start after Labour Day!
Nice!
High School sucks! yayz...
Sawyer, you sure it wasn't JAWS? lol.
School starts on August 18th here. Way to early. But this is my last year of high school! WOOHOO!
In the meantime, I am finally beginning purchasing lumber for my new benchwork on my new layout. Look on page 49 of August MR to see the trackplan.
Pretty Odd Eh?
I'm thinking of just cutting it down to an A-A loco, and scrapping the B unit. I'd be using 2 of the new Bachmann's, so the MSRP would be $250.
If I were to do that, I'd have one unit with a 2 trucks, and the second unit with 1, and that would slide onto a pinon the first unit. That way it would be able to swivel. The locomotive is going to be going through Testing on the Quebec & New England, out of Bellows Falls. While the axle loading isn't too heavy for White River Southern, its expected their curvy mountain route is unsuited for the monsters... Tyler, Imagine one of these on the New Poland Turn!
GG! That has to be the strangest thing i've ever seen.
That goes along well with coal burning diesels...
Heh...
