Shove it and go away Troll.
I probably crossed that damn bridge with an 18 wheeler carrying stuff you NEED to live many times than I can remember. I have covered just about ALL of the US Interstate System several times over in my life and when we have events LIKE THIS... I think of the locals and pray for them.
Any time we lose something in this Nation, we are one BIG family. All of us together working to help others.
That will never change. YOU Sir, need to reconsider that little statement. How would you feel if YOU were on that big bad bridge? HANH>!?
Get over yourself and let the mods sort it out if they see fit!!
Otherwise my family's thoughts go out to all involved. That is a truly frightening event. I am anxious to see what the cause was, as I am sure everybody is. I am glad that a terrorist attack was immediately ruled out.

Are you serious dude?
Get a heart, I think they are on sale.
Thoughts and prayer to everyone involved.

Even though I am new to this forum, (I mainly post on CTT) I think that this is a place for sharing info and making friends, as well as talking about model railroading. We should always remeber people who die in these tragic accidents. Just my opinion, everybody is different.

It gives me new meaning to "forced perspective". I caught myself fussing this afternoon, when one of my solder joints came loose.
This frightens me as well, as I travel that bridge often on our periodic visits to Minneapolis to see relatives. The people whose lives were taken along with those injured rest in my thoughts tonight. I don't really know what else to say...sigh...
In response to the last comment, it relates to trains (although not model trains) as the north end of the bridge which did collapse travels over a rail line. Or, it could be that Art uses it to reach model railroading activities. Either way, it's a bit of huddling that's good to deal with shock. I'm sure we can move past the off topic-ness in context of the tragedy.

Last time I checked they said only 2 people died. Has this number changed?
The size of this catastrophe has really affected me. I will will be no less interested in my layout, but things sure get put in perspective. Part of the bridge fell on a train. I drove under that bridge beside those tracks just last week. My kids commute on that bridge every day. I cross it to get to my NMRA meeting.
The next time I break something on the layoiut, I will be less troubled.
