Well, no work yet on the plan.

Building a protolanced industrial park layout
No pix yet. When I opened the box, I found out I had a lot of work ahead of me because it's a kit. It's mostly assembled, but theres tons of detail parts that you have to apply yourself.
Imagine an Athearn Blue Box kit, but with ten times as many details. It'll be a lot of work, but it will be sick when it's done.

Got the handrail last week.
It's completely assembled, minus handrails, grab irons (I'll probably skip those for how out of pure laziness...), and MU hoses (only on one end). All the blue is done, and the green has one coat done (got it done last weekend, but have been WAYYYYYY to busy to even think about it...). I should have the second coat, and maybe even the third followed by touchups, done by the end of the weekend.
The most recent photos I have are of the blue paint only done, but I haven't gotten around to uploading them yet. But soon enough.
So, I now actually have a layout.
My dad brought me to the LHS today, through no choice of my own. He said he would like me to have a layout up and running before I leave for college (which isn't for over a year and a half away...). So I was essentially forced into buying $100 in track and roadbed.
Got a good bit down, and still have plenty left to do more. Photos coming tomorrow.
Sorry for the double post...
Got some photos. See my Construction Blog.
Also, here's 1002. Since this was taken, I've painted the fuel tank and begun on the green.
Enjoy!
Joe, hey, who's complaining? hehehe
Well, after benchwork, foam, wiring, and tacky glue, here's what I have...
Also, here's some pics of my bday gifts. Central Michigan U23B #8905
Here's the C420. The basic black of the Central Michigan loco looks good b/c it has the stripes on the nose and the little labels. The NW loco is black and NW letters. Planning on repainting it. also, here's my latest update video
I had to pop in and offer my condolances to the passing of the WRSy. Just what is happening to the rollingstock and locos? Is Tyler keeping it under NEAT? Or is it going to someone else? (NEAT or the MSRR?)

Our southern partner the Merrimack & Souhegan Railroad, modeled by my friend Steven, will be taking over operations on the line. The locos will go into the NEAT power pool or get sold to leasers (we'll see where they end up) while rolling stock will continue onto my next layout.
Today I ran the last train and shot video footage; that'll be up someday... In the meantime, here's a circa 1990s commercial announcing the Minuteman intermodal service.

Wow, Sawyer, you got a lot done! And that CM U boat is sick!
(Edited to remove a lot of stuff that was answered by Tyler's post done while I was typing mine...)
Will the WRS painted/patched rolling stock be used on the CMRY? That is, assuming that it's modern day (considering that it's the CSX Leominster Branch [which I believe was Conrail before the breakup, correct?] more or less exactly as it is in real life, then I would assume so).If NEAT puts the WRS rolling stock up for sale, then I want WRS 4900!
RIP WRS
Oh, and nice commercial!

Well, on my side of things...
I decided to change my trackplan a little, allowing me to lay some more track. The yards will be completely changed around (haven't decided on a final arrangement for those yet). This allowed me to add another industry, Andover Stone and Gravel, where the ramp up to the flyover would have been.
I also moved the passing siding, eliminating a switch by the ASG facility, therefore allowing me to lay the track into ASG. I can now start laying roadbed for the main line, since I still have roadbed left.

Ah. Okay. In that case, I;m with the others. If anything of the WRSy ends up on the used rail market, I'd like to know. I'm sure something would be preserved in lease service in in the Proving Grounds.
woa woa woa, in the words of Vince Lombardi, "What the HECK (edited haha) is going on out here?" I'm left out in the cold about the WRS, what happened?
Joe, thanks man. I'm loving it, the paint scheme is really nice. However, the C420 is jsut crying for something more eyecatching. I'm thinking about changing the colors and using the paint scheme of the A-OK railroad. Glad to hear the trackplan changes will help out with tracklaying.
Even though I have a layout to work on now, I'm still planning. I've moved onto the expansion. Right now I'm working on a yard. I'm really physched for the new project layout in MR. looks like I can get some ideas for the expansion. However, instead of an interchange yard, there will be a classification ayrd to support several way freights.
WRS Notice of Liquidation
Ok, so here's what I accomplished this weekend:
-- Roadbed and track for Andover Stone and Gravel
-- Thought about what to do with the yards. Still trying to figure it out.
--Finally painted covered hopper 400104. Now, all of the TSR rolling stock I own (3 centerbeams and 2 covered hoppers) has been painted and only need decals, once I finally get them.
-- 1002 is finally done minus touchup paint. Then, it will need decals, again, whenever I get them.
And on the non-MRR side, I have most of my English paper done, but I'm stuck. And according to Turn It In, some stupid plagarism checking site, I plagarized my name. Hopefully my teacher won't notice
