Lets put it this way as I have no real desire to count the amount of Engines I have ( I inherited alot) I have two 6-Foot book cases that are filled from top to bottom with locomotives.

I don't know what the total amount is but it is alot.

Are many of those still armor yellow, or have you culled the herd to mostly D&RGW yet?

Do you want to know WHY the price of things are HIGH, LOOK AT THIS LIST!!! If you are selling decoders you could retire on the units in this thread.Big Smile [:D]

! am at about 36 at this point. 99% Steam with a GG1, Box Cab, SW9, RS1 and RS3 plus a VO1000 for fun.

This still cheaper than collecting cars.!!

Not too bad for a 12 year old, my 10 year old brother owns half the engines though. We buy most of our engines using our birthday money, my brothers birthday just happens to be a week before the biggest train show here so that helps a lot. Almost all the engines are Athearns. Hope you like the roster.

Everytime this thread comes up, I post my latest additoions.  In this case it would be an AB set of Broadway Limited F7s painted in NP freight pine tree scheme, and an undecorated F7B unit.   I have been very disapointed in the sound.  The prime mover doesn't bog down like a real one does on acceleration, and even though the locomotive clearly sports Nathan 5 chime horns, the sound unit is a wabco honker!   One would think a company selling their products on the "sound" would be careful to make certain the sound matches the unit they put it in.

Here we go again & again & again & again, do people that post hundreds of locomotives really expect others to believe these astronomic numbers of locos and also consider the cost of these????? we may be a bunch of bozos, but even these numbers are unbelievable.

Would you like pictures? I have around $15,000.00 more or less. tied up in my engines and rolling stock. If you want pictures they can be provided:

This is one of (3) engine areas.

The Brass are in the roundhouse I am shooting over.

Some people collect engines, I have seen over 200 in one collection ALL Brass. Sorry but the Life Like crowd has a problem grasping the size of a collection when someone wants one.

And PLEASE do not pick on BOZO he was a hero to my kids Clown [:o)]

Everytime this thread comes up I post my latest aquisition.   Since it came up just last month I thought, wow I'm actually not going to have anything to post.  But no, wait, what is this?  A brand new Proto 2000 E-7A with sound just arrived two days ago!  CB&Q #9917B.  I got it to pull one of the Empire Builders (by Walthers) that I'm assembling.

Big Smile [:D] Great, I just ordered a PCM Y6b and will probably also order the Brass Big boy from them. I am finding myself taking all the older engiens, even if I had converted them to DCC, and replacing them with the latest sound version that comes out. All my wife says is "You need to build some display shelves."

Roster (All DCC):

 (2) SP SD45T-2

SP GP40

SP MD15AC

AMTRAK AMD 103

AMTRAK California Dash 8-32BW

Nothing great but it is perfect for the soon to be built layout of a fictional segment of the San Joaquin Valley Route

Why did you resurrect a 3 year old DEAD thread? It would have been better to start over. Modellers engine rosters change month to month.

Crandell can you lock this thread? I'll start over with a new one if need be.

Maybe we can refer to this as a Lazarus thread.

I agree.  It's probably a good idea to start a new thread - especiallly since this one was originally started nearly 6-1/2 years ago.
