I saw this caboose in Kansas.
.
It had an address and a mailbox!

Living the dream.
That's interesting Kevin. I'm not a very fancy lad, I could live like that if I had to. As long as it was in a State that didn't have winter. I would imagine one would need an outhouse. Did you notice if there was one?
A caboose like that would sure make a really cool cabin or hunting shack.

Now I really need to hit the rack, getting late. First I'll re-post Ed's favorite cat.
I like Ed's cat
I thought I was fresh out of Cabeese. I found one more in my logs.
It was by a train show towards Rochester, Minnesota about 50 minutes away from me.
I thought I might as well post this too because it was the same track looking the other way across the street
I did like the picture...... Who parks a big Gilligan boat right next to the Railroad Tracks?

You know I never thought of that. That was spring of this year on a wonderfully warm day.
You may be right.
The shopping center is named Quarterfield Station. Trucks are stamped C&O 1929.
The shopping center may have been a stop on the Baltimore and Annapolis RR, when my mother and room mate took the train to dances at the US Naval Academy. Room mate married Ross Perot and I am not a billionaire.

When the thread started Henry, I did say I prefer red cabooses. This wood caboose you posted is in such wonderful shape. Very pleased with the restoration.
NICE!
Me posing on the FIRE ANT EXPRESS in Ashburn, Georgia.
Interesting Caboose Graphics Kevin.
I could be mistaking but isn't that the ant that the blue Aardvark would try to suck out of the anthill and his snout sounded like a vacuum cleaner. It was a cartoon during the Pink Panther ones I enjoyed when I was a kid. I probably still would
I found one more.
Mandan Railroad Museum, North Dakota.

Ashburn, Georgia has a Fire Ant Festival every year. It is quite a bit of fun. The whole town has things with a fire ant theme. The home made fire ant scupltures are always great to see.
This is a caboose turned into a Dentist Office in Lakeland, Florida.
Very nice pictures, everyone.
I just want to take a moment to remind participants to be sure that they only post their own pictures. Nothing from outside sources like rrpictures.net. It seems like everyone here is good so far, but I have to give everyone the standard disclaimer. It's a copyright thing.
Carry on, as you were!

You got it Steve! With extremely rare exceptions I only post my own pictures.
This one is located at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum static displays.

Back at ya.... Long Live BN.
And thanks for not letting things fall off the page Ed
The Gillette you did not know existed when you were running around when you were a kid trying to find a railroad name that did not exist.
Gillette did exist. Oops
You're good people Kevin, and welI liked here too

Apparently of Grand Trunk or Central Vermont heratige? I didn't take the time to try to investigate.

Nice cabooses guys...... Bahhh! , now that's something you don't hear every day Seriously though, I like the older ones, like many old things they seem to have more character.
Ed, I would love to restore that caboose, really, it looks like a fun project.
Duluth Depot Minnesota.
I'm running out of cabeese here, I hope I'm not double posting. If so, no harm no foul, my excuses is I have a hard enough time remembering things from yesterday let alone a month ago
Here is one on display in Adel, Georgia:
Prices for cabeese have appreciated. The cheapest on on https://ozarkmountainrailcar.com/Is $5,000 and you can spend up to $55,000 The top of the line is still pretty spartan and often converted to be a business or vistior center. It will not put you in the Private Varnish club.
Cabeeses
I like that one as I let my mind wander.
Who needs stress these days?
Yet Another Treat.
Nice picture TF. I love side door cabooses.
The STRATTON AND GILLETTE has yet to aquire one, but there is an older brass model of a Frisco prototype side door center cupola caboose I want badly.
