Yes I picked up metal wheels at my LHS.  They're easy to replace.  It greatly reduces the possibility of stalling at insulated frogs.  Pulling power is reduced but will still do pretty well.

You can also get the metal wheels from Walthers free.

Thanks. Do you remember the size that you used. Also for better traction I made a lead cast of the tanks and the speaker cover on the switcher for more weight,as the switcher is very light.

No, I just took my data sheet to the LHS and they selected the correct wheels.  They were in a small plastic bag with no markings.  This shop has a guy that does a lot of repair work and seems to have a lot of parts on hand.  Some shops may not carry what you need.  Many people have gotten them from Walthers, but that will take a little longer.

Same here.  I ordered through my LHS.  Walther's would not offer me free ones when I was emailing with them about the issue.

Mine came in a small plastic zip lock bag.  Label on it from LHS says:

THA Trains:HO Gauge A P2K
Geared Drivers (2)

I paid like $2.99.

Good luck,

Tom
