Sorry guys. This is a direct link to a better size:

As for the reach to the back, the way the layout is situated, it will be open to the front and sides so the only reach issue will be straight back to the back which at this point I think I can live with.

I agree With ALL OF YOU! it is fuzzy and Impossible to read! Another good site to use for planning model railroads is: "atlasrr.com" Look for the Layout planner software. This is also FREE! I USED IT ON MY CURRENT LAYOUT! If you need more info, EMAIL ME AT MY USER NAME AND SUBJECT "TRAINS"

it looks like a long reach from your centre operating position to the yard over on the left edge of the layout . i'm guessing it's about 3 feet , depending on the height of the layout and any scenery in that area that may be a bit far

i agree with chip , a bigger version or a link would be helpful

I think you either need to post a larger picture or keep the one you have and post a link to a larger version. What you have is impossible, for me at least, to read.

Well, it doesn't look that clear, so I'll explain a bit. The track that runs long along the back loops around at the bottom right and crosses over the track going down to below table staging. It circles past a passenger station (with double ended siding) and down through a town with a spur and two-stall engine house, has a couple more spurs again in the bottom right (going under where it was before) and down to the below table staging which has a double ended siding and 4 stubs. It then works its way up comes out a tunnel in the middle of the top area, loops around a mountain (with a view block from the town area) crosses over a river twice along a gorge kind of thing , through a tunnel and back to where we started (with a double ended siding). I'm not sure of what industries to use just yet, so any suggestions there would be nice!

I got my railimages account and now I'm ready to accept all criticism of my first layout draft. It is a 6x9' N scale layout using Unitrack. I did the drawing in XtrkCad (great program with small learning curve), but I may have to opt for one with a 3D rendering because it would be easier for my wife to picture it that way (and get her more interested).

So please fire away. I tried to keep the file small for those with dial up, so if there is a question, let me know. Oh, and just to explain, most of the "dashed" track running down the back side is under table staging. I think I've figured out how to make this work, but any more suggestions would be appreciated.
