Here is a link to a new picturetrail.com site I have made. It has a few shots I have uploaded of one corner of my layout as I played around with first efforts at scenery.

Neat pics Simon. I wish I'd have taken construction pics but then you guys would have seen real indecision in the form of foam, cookie cutter, plaster soaked paper towels and/or plaster cloth over news print, etc. It was a little bit of everything, not nice and tidy like yours. Looks like you've got yourself a very nice railroad. You running any trains yet?

Hope I can post some pictures in the future, still waiting for Shinohara code 83 track from USA so I have a looong way to go. Benchwork just finished.

Looking forward to seeing some pics when you get your railroad ready. Which road do you plan to focus on?

Tom, you've got an awesome layout there, thanks for posting the link to it. It really shows what can be done using foam for a base.

Rich, this looks good! It gives me an idea of what I can do in a very limited spot on my layout, if I EVER get to that point.

Thanks Tom. I still have to super detail the scenes and weather the locos as well as build two small staging yards. I've really enjoyed your pics as well. Maybe you should break down and run an FT or two. You know, let them mingle and socialize with your steamers. [:D]

One more. It was a long stretch without a digital camera. This is fun. [:D]

The model is an Athearn RTR GP35. It hasn't been detailed or weathered yet.

Hey, Cheese3,

That's very efficient use of your 4x8's space in the middle. I like the small switch yard set next to the roundhouse and turntable. Good track planning to take advantage of that great big blank center space. (Did I say this once before? I can't remember...)

Irish, maybe your Windows is remembering your password automatically, and you think you have to type it in. If so, your password is doubled with no spacing, and the identification software rejects you, naturally, saying that your user name and/or password are incorrect.

When you log in, and hit 'enter' to scroll down to the password box, do several dots appear? If so, Windows has retained your password, and all you have to do is hit 'Enter".

Thanks!

It's just a Heljan plastic kit ($18). The instructions are terrible but you can make one or more nice trestles from it...curved or straight.
