Here's a couple of our old railroad. It's currently being rebuilt (bigger and better) after our move last summer. Happy modeling. Look forward to seeing your pics!

My layout is far from complete, but I'll gladly show what I do have!

My scenery phase has just begun. It's starting to take shape. This is the town of Poncic Hollow on my Brady's Bend Central layout (N scale, 2.5' x 5').

So far, so good. [:D]

Nice job, fellas! I'm going to be a bit different here. If you'd to see my layout, just click on the link at the bottom of the post to see the pics that I have uploaded on Railimages.com. I really like the idea of showcasing our layouts but, in reality, if we get too many more pics on this page, it's going to take an awfully long time to load...

Here's one of a couple of Geeps running light downtown. This area of the railroad survived the move but now sports a hand painted mountain scene on the backdrop.

Okay, here is a shot I took a few months ago. This is on one of the branchlines (which happens to be the only place I have worked on scenery).

My first scenic -- as a diorama for later inclusion
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 8:39 AM
Wow! some of these layouts are just super, and even the beginning ones are excellent. Isn't this fun? I'm new at all this, have acquired lots of stuff and built a workshop. You can check out my progress at my web site: http://www.clarkjim.com/trains01.htm.

My first attempt at a scenic was inspired by an article in a recent Scale Rails mag, and can be seen in progress at http://www.clarkjim.com/models.htm

Hope some of you take a visit there. Jim

Usually if you come here on the weekend there is a sting called "Weekend Photo Fun" that a lot of us post pics on each weekend..you may do a search and find more pictures of more layouts...another title is "Sunday photo fun"....if you want more...I'm still in the "plywood central" stage and as soon as i get all my rolling stock upgraded and the train detection circuits in i'll start the scenery....here's a small sample

I really like these topics. The work I see is inspiring, and the reason I like this hobby so much. The creativity and craftsmanship is top notch.

Here are some pics from my N-scale layout. I feel like I cheated a bit because the backgrounds were digitally added. At this point I click the “reply” button with a shaky finger, because there are so many tough acts to follow already!

Great work, one and all....now the tricky one,do I go away feeling impressed and inspired or sad and inadequate?!!? Insufficient time to comment on any specific shot but all well worth the time and effort expended. nick

I agree totally! Nice pics and work guys. One of the coolest aspects of model railroading is the enjoyment I get from seeing other folks' railroad pics. Here's one more of ours. Believe it or not, we now have SD7's, GP7's, GP35's and F3's to go along with the Proto GP30's, lol.

I have a free account at www.railimages.com. Once you have it up and running, upload your selection of photos to your page. They are each filed by railimages with a number (you can set the file number, or railimages will do it for you). Then, keeping both this forum and your railimages page open, you right click the enlarged version of the photo on railimages, and scroll down to 'properties'. Click on it, and then hi-lite the URL listed up halfway in that dialogue box. Right click on the URL that you hi-lited and you will see "copy". Click on that, and then bring up the forum and start a post, or a new topic. Click in the text portion, and then put the cursor on "Edit" at the top-left of your screen, to the right of "File". Click on Edit, and click on 'Paste". You should see the URL appear in black print in the text box of your post.

Two more steps. First, on the extreme left of the URL, click and type, in order, the "[", "img", and "]", with no spaces. Lastly, on the extreme right of the URL, type:

"[", followed by "/img", followed by "]". Looks like "...jpg[/img]". Nothing will then happen, apparently, but when you submit the post, and then look at it on the website forum, your photo should be there! You can also add a photo to your signature in "profile" using the same procedure.

(I hope I got that all right. It's what worked for me.)

up_santafe,

I REALLY like the ceiling light you have in your Interlocking tower. One of these days I will get around to do that on my layout. I take it you used incondescent - e.g. grain 'o rice or wheat?
