Last weekend I built the bridge this week I laid the track and wired it. I used Atlas code 83 with #4 turnouts. Had room for a siding and a fiddle track. It is high enough to easily duck under. It is fun to just let a train run around now. Here are a few pictures. I wired it with cutoff switches so I can kill the sound. - Nevin
Nicely done. That looks like nice shelf layout. Some day I want to go that route once I get the chance to build again. Nice use of space as well.

Awesome !
So, it is a duck under, not a lift out ?
What are the dimensions ?
How high off the floor ?

It is 50 inches high, 6.5 feet long and about 8 inches wide. It is designed to be a lift out but in reality, the duck under has not been much of a problem and I am thinking about leaving it in place with equipment on it most of the time.
Very well done!
Am I correct in assuming that you've followed the Noh tradition (the black-clad stagehand isn't really there?) Very effective - looks rather like a night scene between two day scenes.
Chuck (Modeling Central Japan in September, 1964 - with netherworld staging below the visible scene)
The painting of everything that isn't part of the actual scene black has been more effective than I thought it was going to be. The next step is a black curtain hanging down below the layout to cover the bench work. All I have to do is talk my wife into cutting the fabric I bought into 10 foot x 3 foot sections. I plan on using cloth pins hot glued to the underside of the fascia. - Nevin
Good job, well planned and executed.

Great work. I planned a bridge just like yours and this is giving me the inspiration to actually build it.
Are there curves leading into the bridge? or is the bridge a dead straightaway?
Mine would have a slight curve leading in and out andI've been trying to figure out how to stableize it
