Chooch Enterprises Bridge Abutments
Posted by willy6 on Thursday, November 12, 2009 6:15 PM

I have to cut about a half inch off the abutment. How can it be done without shattering it?

Being old is when you didn't loose it, it's that you just can't remember where you put it.

Use a razor saw.  I did with mine and didn't have any problem.

Chooch products, or at least the ones I have purchased, are a cast resin not a cast plaster, so they should not shatter or crack when cut.  I have used a Dremel tool as well as a razor saw - and by the way, either method releases a very distinctive (read: unpleasant) odor.
