First I would like to thank all of the guys who helped answer questions. Thestle and both other bridges are complete. Scenery will be Massive water falls starting above the tracks and ending at a white water river at the bottom. Comments on pictures will be appreciated. Now the question. While cutting the bridge track it came loose from the plastic ties. It is now a little out of guage. What is the best way to fasten this back in Gauge? Thanks in advance
Harold
That's some impressive rock scenery!
Can't wait to see it with some color and vegetation.
As for the ties, you may be able to use some ACC to repair the track.
Perhaps ou could also drill miature holes in ties and use track spikes.
If they stick through the bottom and are visible, just cut them off with a pair of cutting pliers that you don't use for track, too. Then use the ACC to form a mechanical + chemical attachment.
That looks great!
If it were me, I'd just use an epoxy to glue rail in place.
I agree about the expoxy, but would probably make several spacers that fit inside the rails to gauge them, you could use the little black springloaded paper(folder)clips for clamps.. you can find them at Staples pretty reasonable. The trestle looks great and the rock formations look like the will be great after you get them stained. By the way is the mine scrathbuilt or a kit?
The mine was a kit but I do not remenber by who.
That is impressive work!
A trick I learned for fastening rail to ties without spikes is to coat the bottom of the rail with Walthers' Goo or Pliobond adhesive. Let it dry completely. Position the rail and heat it with a soldering iron. This activates the glue and it sort of spot welds it in place. It works well and it's permanent.
Phil, I'm not a rocket scientist; they are my students.

I'll have to remember that.
Interesting!
