OLD DAD,
Oddly I don't know too many of the HO guys here. Have a good friend who started WinNtrack, the N scale module group here. The sun is shinin' and I can see more and more of my line each day. Supposed to keep getting warmer all week. Bonus! Still re arranging stuff in the basement. Like I said before...life goes on. Later eh...Brian.

Brian,
Sorry to hear of all the wet basements up there I'm glad yours wasn't too bad. Twenty years ago I knew a lot of model railroaders from Wpg. but have lost track of them now. We all belonged to the N.M.R.A. ..... T.L.R. region I hope they all did as well with the water as you did.

OLD DAD,
Gonna' order some to try out for switching on my indoor line. The only sidings will be in the laundry room where my trains are made up. Gonna' have a good look at these to see how they will be for outdoors. Got water in the basement this weekend. The ground is still very much frozen and we had a rain storm Saturday. Walls were fine. Water came in under my side door and ran down the wall when the water had no where left to go. A lot of flooded basements in Wpg. this weekend. Ours was minor compared to most. Cleared the floor to the drain and just let it run until the rain ended. Will take care of that when the weather warms up. Train line is 4' off the floor so all was good there. Life goes on. Later eh...Brian.

How about adding : http://www.nmia.com/~vrbass/steam/steamfaq.htm
Lots of info for live-steamers, and it's by GR contributor Vance Bass!

This one isn't completely train related, but I've used it more than I care to admit:

You can convert just about anything here (for free!)

OLD DAD:

I like the idea of your postings of the informative weblinks. I have checked them all out and they all seem to be interesting.

The trouble I see is that when you add new links I can not tell which one is new. Could you please write the word "NEW" or put the date next to them when you add more. That will make finding the new link alot easier.

I hope you don't mind me butting in but I only want to make things easier for everyone.

Thanks,
Peter

Hello OLD DAD

Here's a link just for your "micro-layout"

www.hon30.org

This is for the HOn30 Depot, of great use to Nut-job's like you and me who also dabble in those tiny, tiny trains that run on tiny, tiny layouts.

I also highly recommend doing a micro-layout's to all out there, its a lot of fun.

check out the link above at carendt.com

   Have fun with your trains

I'm not sure, perhaps check the links themselves. The trex site works, but i'm not sure if it is the one you wanted to post. the top three do not work. The bachmanntrains.com link does work now.
