Wish I could but then I wouldn't have any marketing material.

Suffice to say there are alot of good things coming down the pike. LGB of America is taking an aggressive stance. We've built up quite a catalog of tooling and we intend to make good use of it!

The engine I wish someone would make is the Union Pacific 4-12-2 9000's.  Now that is a monster.  Only one is still preserved, No. 9004, at the Transportation Museum at Los Angeles.

Come on Jack, you know what kinda stuff I like, (small sized American NG steam logging and mining), am I going to be surprised by anything down the pike or will the standard gauge guys be getting all the glory?

Also, the LGB D&RGW #50 diesel is just as robust and powerful as the Stainz.  I liked mine  so much I just had to buy the LGB ice cream set when offered at 199.99.  Same loco plus  a car and caboose in the set.

This engine would have been a great loco for the LGB automatic uncoupling.

Bachmann 4-6-0 with a Barry's 2-8-0 chassis.

Latest unit in test is a Bachmann 4-6-0 with a 2-8-2 chassis, which is a modified 2-8-0.

You know stuff from him will work, the 2-8-2 was designed to make sure the wheels wouldn't come loose on the axles nor the dual-gearbox and pivoting chassis could fail.

I have several favorites. My Bachmann 4-6-0, 2-6-0, 4-4-0 & 2-8-0 and my Accucraft 2-8-0 and I just purchased a Roundhouse 2-6-2 (SR & RL).   I like eletric versions but I also like live steam.  I just hope that one of the larger manufacturers comes out with a 2-8-8-8-2 triplex or a 2-10-10-2 eletric version one day !!

Nice weathering job on that Rogers! I may have to get me one of those someday. I've always had a fondness for funky little locos.

This is a great thread for those of us who are still considering which locos to get. What other small locos are worth getting?

I see the Stainz mentioned a lot, and favorably. I assume it's a German prototype, can it pass for American? Or can it be easily modified as such?

It would be great to see the ATSF 3000 Class 2-10-10-2 in G-Scale.  But also the 4-14-4 would also be great to see running in G-Scale.

If I had replied yesterday, my answer would have been my LGB UP Mikado.  Today, I would say my USA F3-A/B w/FB RC-battery car.  Tomorrow, I might answer with my Aristo Pacific.

Nice photo, Marty.

Somehow it just doesn't look real, though.  There are no tree trunks made of putty, no ground up colored foam glued to lichen representing bushes and there are no torn up little bits of orange paper in the trees representing autum leaves...  I'm sorry but this photograph fails the reality test.  [ ;)] Big Smile [:D]

The devil made me do it.  I just couldn't resist.Evil [}:)]

The "scale" modelers use that stuff above to represent trees and we use...trees.Shock [:O]

'Nuff said.

SteveF

btw, that is a GREAT photo

I like the Stainz as well - I avoided buying one becuase I thought they couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding!

I was wrong!!!

But, I do love the OBB 2095 series deisels - currently have two in the fleet and am interested in the new version.

Hi

Right about now a Lionel track powered loco ( any one would do ) and some sort of rolling stock item or two would be nice

I have in my present "on site stock" one Lionel Caboose and nothing else looks quite right running with it.

regards John

Hands down my favorite would have to be my Accucraft K27's. Double headed these are virtually unstoppable and nothing matches the look of a "mudhen" while under power in my honest opinion... Big Smile [:D]
