Umm, Matt, I thought everybody had pink flamingos and an old fridge up on cement blocks? Don't you?[:D] I don't mind the thought of paying tax on a really cool house, my beef is the fact that the RR caused the tax to go up. Once I get done with this new house (well, new to me, after all it was built in 1890), if indeed I do buy it, I'm sure the tax will go up and I am willing to accept that fact.

Right on, John! I assure you the Vicky steam trains in the garden of the Painted Lady will be there simply as historical items, and I will build them without having any fun whatsoever. Then, when I build a head of steam, crack open the throttle, and fill the yard with coal smoke (must stay authentic, it is a National Register house!) there will NOT be a smile whatsover on my face. I will force my soon to be new wife to labor day and night in the garden keeping it free of weeds and insects, and forbid the children any involvement in either the garden or the RR. And if you believe that, then I have a nice garden RR I'll sell you for 17.5G[swg]

I see you have the same dificultie the rest of the group has being seriouse about the tax valuation ect
I have to admit I would not mind having a go at some early Victorian Era coaches
If I could get a decent drawing of the thing with some dimentions seems the
ideal thing for card coaches.
Hope all goes well now I think we know why the chinese stick horns on the charicter for a bureaucrat to create one for the tax man
