Just running trains sounds good to me! We've been rained out! I like your little STAINZ-bock! Big Smile  I am continuously amazed at what these little engineering marvels can do and the creativity they inspire in others.  Bill built a Forney from one, as I recall, and I've seen all sorts of 'bashes with this little work horse currently checking your future alpine viaduct!

The ubiquitous Stainz!!

It took many years, but it grew on me. For a long time, I did not really like this engine. They were everywhere: Toy store windows, Christmas displays, children's dental offices. But now I have new appreciation for LGB's most common engine. It looks beautiful to my eye, happy to have one !! Simple, beautiful, iconic...

I think also I spent a lot of time and effort in the past to have an American Narrow gauge feel, and Americanized my Orenstein and Koppel engine. At some point with the previous layout, I wanted one complete European style train, so its been harboring in the corners of my mind for some time now. With this layout, I have decided to embrace the Euro theme. But I still have tons of American Narrow gauge equipment, and plan to continue running EVERYTHING!! So, it should be interesting!!

I'll return to the viaduct after we finish painting.

By waving a wand, and snapping my fingers, we can go from the Berner

Oberland to the Colorado Rockies !!!
