OK....Here goes....
First we clean the entire bridge with Mineral Spirits...
Then we make a hanging post....
Then we start the primer process....
Then the wife asks " What are you doing ?"....
Then we start spray painting....
Then we let it dry.....
And we touched up a few places.....
And now, the finished Bridge........ Out in the bright sun, I noticed that the metal texture showed up greatly. The only thing left to do is put the gold decals on each end. More pictures to come..................
Color is called " Old Navy Blue "
What do you think?
Chuck
Great job, Chuck! Love the color! You did a fine job with that spray can! Can't wait to see photos of the bridge on your layout!

Here it is with the decals.....
Looks great Chuck !
For the cost of powdercoating you could probably buy a couple hundred cans of Krylon.

Great Job Chuck: The Blue looks like Delaware and Hudson Blue to Me. Did Buckeye help you out at all.? Nice Job.
The color is going to further accented by the luster of the tubular track adorning the bridge.
That WILL be tubular track, won't it?
Frank - keep those non-tubular track heathens at bay!
Regards, Roy
Looks great Chuck. As for Frank, I think you could be a spokesperson for Tubular track. O'l JLC would have been proud of you.

Note what it says in the yellow oval.......

Frank, I have been seriously thinking about putting tubular track on the bridge. I have the Gargraves removed and I'd like to see the difference. I would have to cut some short sections, but I can do that. I think I will.
WOW Chuck !! That looks great !! Are you sure that isn't The Chief's favorite color, CSX Blue ? !! Great job, Chuck !!
Thanks, John
nice work chuck, i really like it.

Sorry, Doug..... It is NOT perfect !!!!! It is headed for the wrong layout! As anyone can see that is a Western Bridge !
Chuck what a great job !!
When I was at York I talked to them about a Dual Track 36" bridge and they they said they didn't have anything planned but possibly later this year. ? I would have thought that would be a "standard". What is the length of yours, Chuck?
Buckeye must be jealous

I don't think Buckeye is jealous.....LOL
Don, my bridge is 47 1/2 inches long. That post, you see it hanging from, is over 6 feet from ground to top. It is a Dual track bridge with an inside height of 9 inches. It is on their webpage.
The bridge is gorgeous. I love the color. Outstanding job.

Thanks, John. No, I don't do custom work on bridges, but years ago, I used to paint flames on cars.
