Always great to see Sunday Photo Fun and especially Tom's good photos.  One thing I miss about him not posting on the Coffee Pot each morning is his photo of the day.  Usually something to tease me and sometimes the Rebs.  Later

My friend John Meise took this photo of the American Freedom Train somewhere along the NE corridor circa 1975/1976. Over on the other track, it's a Penn Central triple headed freight with one GG1 and two E44's.  This electric trio could probably pull just about anything. Each of these locomotives (or at least, an example of each) are just museum displays now...

Jaspers - Thanks for posting that vintage pic.  My mom pulled me out of school one September day (I was 10) to go see the Freedom Train in Middle River, MD.

Laz - I see you haven't put the ladies to work yet...Sad [:(]

My center manager just gave these to me!!  He likes HO and said I can have his O trains. Him and his brother REALLY played with these alot.  I'm very happy though. I already ordered some new parts for them.

Like....

new screws,new horns.

Truck frame for the plow...

Too bad about where the body screws go...body broke...some scratches...

New truck! Window insert.

Ray's layout was probably the one that really influenced me to re-think what I was doing and really try to build a permanent sceniced layout. Prior to that, I was just playing around on a couple of pieces of plywood, as shown below:

and Ray has helped me out with photos I have asked him for, etc. along the way - he's a good fellow.

Frank

If there was an award for most improved layout of the year it would have to go to you.

So much progress in so little time.

Really look forward to your posts

Nice shots guys. What type of cameras are you all using?

Here's an old pic...but since we will soon be tubing the Salt River here in town, I thought I'd post it again.

Enjoy the hobby Perry

Thaks for your comments - here are a few I shot today. Note the use of the world's most venerable track system - tubular.
