This is a big one from the 1960's. The time when O Gauge Trains nearly went out of production, so it was overlooked in O Gauge and O Scale.
This 1960's style car has to be made in O Scale for O Gauge operators.
Magor Car Company Aluminum Bodied 3-Bay Covered Hoppers actually made out of Aluminum.
Operating Hatches and Gravity Discharge Gates. Fine metal details.

Maybe, an inexpensive* adaptable universal control panel. There are so many different sized transformers, switch controls, toggles etc. Wouldn't it be nice to have a board that you could just easily connect everything to without having to allow for big handles, small dials and strange shaped knobs?

Long time lurker here...really enjoying reading the forum.
At the Western Minnesota Steam Thresher's Reunion in Minnesota, they feature a 0-4-0 Soo Line loco towing five old stock cars that have been fitted with bleachers to haul people around the grounds. (One side of the cars have been removed and the bleachers face out the side of the cars.)
They also tow a flatcar with a Case "threshing outfit" consisting of a steam tractor and thresher. I'd like to see a reproduction of that flatcar and load...a lot of those probably ran across the country during the steam days.
I've been looking for a picture of it but can't find one online...and last time I was there, my pic of it didn't turn out!

I forgot to mention that the Pennsyvania Railroad's last Covered Hopper series delivered were the Magor Car Co. Aluminum 3-Bay Covered Hoppers in the H47 series. The graphics were rather sparse on the aluminum body.
Then the PRR Magor 3-Bay Covered Hoppers were then relettered for Penn Central.
After the Conrail merger the Hoppers were painted Freight Car Red (Brown) with White Graphics.
Brent, Mavis was cancelled in favor of Diesel. Why? I dunno... After purchasing James, I'm leary. Thomas and Percy are ok, but James is very lightweight and not much of a puller. And he's too shortened. His proportions don't look right.

Well, personally, I'm appealing for all the train manufacturers to commit to making 2008 the Year of the O-27! Making nothing else but a complete line of O-27 trains and compatible accessories.
Then, and only then, can we avoid having to scroll down past a terribly long posting...
Speaking of O-27 . . .
I'd like to see an O-27 (tubular rail) Y or 3-way turnout, using a low-profile switch machine.
In motive power, I'd like to see a better proportioned O-27 44 tonner. The Lionel and Williams version are just too long, imho. Yes, I know Rich Yoder makes one that's scale. I'm wanting a reasonably priced, reasonably proportioned (not scale) model. Might be another good addition to the RMT line? . . .

If I'm going to dream, I'd like to see some scale-size 19th century steam and matching cars. All could be easily done to operate on O27. An 1870-1890 4-4-0 would be 1st choice. Even a non-oversize redo of the General would be great! Add a 2-6-0 (not for $500 please) or 2-8-0. Some celestory roof wood passenger cars (like Roundhouse Overton/Overland in HO) and some truss-rod freight cars (all could share common underframe to reduce tooling costs).
