A few comments on previous posts. Forget going for lunch on rt.30...road construction will make it a big enough pain to get in. The hamburger stand accross from the Brown Hall (next to the Orange Hall) is fine, and it's much less expensive than the others.
Some large dealers take charge cards. Because it's a TCA meet, many dealers take checks. There are 2 ATMs on the grounds. Cash may get you a better deal.
A close parking space is handy, but plan on getting there 1 1/2 hours before the opening, at minimum. I park in the first row in front of Orange. The dirt lot on the side of Orange is second best. To avoid the crush getting into Orange at the show opening, use the side door on the left of the building.
Dogs in the Orange hall it is!
Brent, Most of the vendors will hold a bulky purchase for you to pick up later when you are ready to make a trip to your car. I've done that several times. BTW if you are looking for any kind of tanks, don't miss Stan's Tanks. Wish I had more space as he makes some neat stuff and he only sells at the major shows.

If YUZ GIZ want to do lunch? We can all get it there after the KODAK MOMENT in the Orange Hall. I ate there in the fall at it wasn't too bad. They have tables and chairs set up there. Something to think about?

Mitch,Thanks for the heads up! I will probably be getting there early enough to get a close spot, so walking shouldn't be an issue. I can also leave the camera in the car and get it just before meeting time...Personally I'm thinking eating in the confines of the fairgrounds is starting to sound better... especially for lunch... if a group wants to do dinner, that is fine by me!Bob,Then I will look forward to meeting you and Roger in the fall! Brent - I see lots of folks carrying canvas bags and such. The aisles are usually pretty close and crowded for any kind of cart or carrier, although power wheelchairs and such get through. What I usually do if I purchase something is carry it through the rest of that building and then head to the car for a drop off. Parking is not too far from the buildings.
The dealer vendors usually take checks and credit cards. Some of the folks in the member only halls will take checks or credit cards, but I usually see cash transactions in there.
As far as cameras and phones they are pretty strict, smaller out of sight is probably better. Also wear the most comfortable shoes you own.
I agree with Mike S. that I don't want to stray too far from the fair grounds. For first timers or guys who are only there for one day, there's a lot to see. I usually attend two days and find myself rushing to get through some halls.

Certainly would but Grandson due Sunday. If he does not come by middle of the week, they will "wake" him up by the next weekend. Wife will be gone to Wilmington NC to stay with them. I have to baby sit [dogs!!!!!]. Actually no Bass Pro or Cabela's until last weekend in April and then jumps the second weekend in June. Lots of time off. Can fish the pond while baby sitting boys.
Now, if you see Mike Wolf, hit him good and hard in the nose for me. Tonight has been MTH S--T night. First, another switch acted up. Had to take it out of the main line where it joined two wother swtiches. It got stuck partly closed. Nothing in it, just stuck. Took it apart, shook it and it freed up. Put a little synthetic oil on the moving parts [seems to help as they are dry]. Put it back in. Then started switcher moving bathtub gons into sidings. 17 Lionels and 1 MTH. Guess which one wanted to derail? Yes. Then started up highspeed piggyback train. A Triple Crown car [MTH] suddenly uncoupled. Caught it before we had a crash. Put on a new Triple Crown car [MTH] and couplers did not want to close [even though I had put a drop of oil on them]. Ran my Lionel SD60 pulling the train at about 80 scale miles per hour. Can do that with 072 curves. Did OK as put Triple Crowns at the back of the double lionel piggy backs. Popcorn time.

Anyone wanting to meet and get a group pic, lets meet at the CTT booth as JELECTRIC stated at 1 PM then either we can talk a bit or make plans later. Does that sound like the plan? NO GRITS.
I could meet at 1 at CTT booth, but I think I'd rather eat somewhere on grounds. I will have my family with me and it would be tougher to get away. Plus I only have Friday and there's a lot to see so I don't want to stray to far.

I like Fife's idea of the eatery on grounds, but there are also lots of places on Route 30 as John suggested.
I may do a recon mission on Monday.
