built to haul machine parts. Made from galvanized steel; truck frames filed flat and epoxied. O gauge; code 148 rail; 7/8n18; guess it's still a toy train since it's a toy and it's a train; anyway, it's using Lionel trucksBig Smile [:D]

here's my Plymouth, but unlike the machine car, running on 32mm track, she is a 7/8n2 on 45mm track; carved her from wood and hood and cab roof is thick gauge steel; shades are from my blue jeans; runs on 4 AAs

Laz. That backstop reminds me of the one we had as kids on the field we played at. The only difference is we had a tree behind pitchers mound.

Morning y'all from a sunny and warm NC where Tobacco Road dominates the ACC!!! (GO PACK)

Here's a few shots from my original layout, which is still evolving....

The Hobos are still firmly entrenched in an old abandoned Pennsy boxcar......

The horses are safe in the pasture...

Cousin George, arriving for a visit, sees the cows are loose and hears the east bound steamer...

And not only are the cows loose -  Dang them chickens....

Meanwhile, The Chief and GranPa John are catching dinner...

And all is peaceful as evening approaches the House on the Hill

Dave C - handsome layout and equipment you have there.

Laz57 - is that you crowding the plate there?  Ahhhh, springtime in Cleveland...where hopes are anew...until mid-May....

Lisa - better introduce some carp to the pond, looking pretty murky...or is the boat kinda dragging bottom...?

Finished ballasting the reversing loop and figured the placement. The red push pins are the outline of the welding/fabricating business I am going to build on this site:

Between the crane and the building, I am going to build a large dock in the jogged out area where materials can be offloaded to the dock or large vessels can be loaded onto a flat car:

Fifedog - Pond is full of bass and bream.  Both guys have fish on the hook - just can't see from that angle.  Water is deep - Guess it just wasn't a really good shot. Ashamed [*^_^*] Will try to do better next time.

Thanks,  Frank53!

Great pictures everyone!

I am envious of Lisa's horse pasture, and wish my real yard and lawn looked as good.

Fantastic job everyone.  Lisa, you had me fooled.  I thought you were struggling along like so many of us and just barely getting going.  It seems that you are well along in your railroad empire.  It looks great!  I think I need to hook you and my wife up so that you can share your enthusiasm for trains and maybe it will rub off.  Great work.

Really great pictures this week.  Love seeing what everyone is doing.  Always impressive to see the different styles and themes.

Thanks to all for your kind comments on my layout.  This is the one I started last year when the "bug" bit me.  Not much track on this one, just an oval with a diagonal on a 4x8.  Started it before I had any magazines or had discovered this forum.  Just wanted to do a rural farm scene,  which I see plenty of around here.  Kind of learned on my on with a lot of experimenting, mistakes and a lot of "do-overs."  Guess it's OK for my first try.

DENNIS: Thanks for the compliments. It's the new layout that has me struggling.  The old one has a CW-80 with one power connection to the track and two 3-switch terminal boards for accessories (just lights for the house, barn, campfire, etc.)  The new one with feeder wires, TPC, TMCC is what's been driving me crazy.  But, I'm getting there.  Dewey T has been a God-send to me.  Good luck getting your wife involved - can't get my husband to do any more than the benchwork and helping with the wiring.  I do catch him looking around to see what I've done though.

Here's a pic of part of the new one - painted the mountains on the garage wall - thought David was gonna have a hissy fit (in case you Nawtheners don't know what that is, email me and I'll try to explain it)- I reminded him that it was only paint and it was cheaper than buying something to paint on like the first one - My backgrounds on it are on luan boards that slip in front of a frame.  I'm only 5'2" (eyes of blue......oh no - another song!!) so I can take them out to reach stuff.

Have a good week everyone!

Lisa

Everyone,
Awesome photos this week!  Lisa - newbie... yeah right!  You've got years of experience behind those blue eyes!  LOL!  Simply beautiful scenes!  I think we found your calling, you could travel around the US doing all the scenery for us!  LOL!

Laz,
Love the baseball field... brings back some very fond memories of the ol' chaps and I getting about 3 innings in before someone would throw a fit and a fight would break out... come to think of it that happened playing most sports... LOL!  Also playing 'ghost runner' with my father in the front yard... Sigh [sigh]

Marty,
Awesome night scenes!

Memory is failing me on who else has posted... grrr... right hand is really getting numb...

Great Pictures everyone!

Frank:

I love the 681.  I had a 682 when I was a kid.  I traded the train set in 1990 for a bunch of LGB stuff.  While I love my LGB trains.  I wish I still had that set...

Regards,

John O
