Went to the mail box, got a CTT today
Posted by ChiefEagles on Friday, November 24, 2006 3:28 PM

Who has had time to look at it?  Was going to put second coat of paint on trim in trainroom.  Looked and wife's car was 300 miles over her service interval.  Serviced a Nissian and rotated tires.  Looked like she had been to a mud sling [FIL has long drive at his acres and he does not stabilize it].  Washed it too.  Maybe in a few.  Really want to finish painting.  Which one first? Confused [%-)]

I would say atend to the wifes car first then paint and you can easily read the ctt mag here and there between tasks or during a nature callShock [:O]

The mail didn't get to the house until after 4:30 pm today. Sure enough, there was the January CTT. Guess I'll read it tonight sometime.

Not wanting to break a time-worn tradition by the "got mine; didn't get mine" crowd, I'll state here that I did not get mine.

Of course, I buy mine at B&N, so that might account for it. Smile [:)]

Didn’t make it over the Rockies, at least not here in Greenacres. Washington. Maybe next week. Mail is always a day or two, or three, late here.

Also glad to follow tradition and state that I was not surprised to find this issue in today's mail - covers for Great Northern and Northern Pacific in two issues in a row.

Big one page add for T&K Hobbies in Bridgeport OH.  One of my favorite train shops.  Big place and not fancy.  Lots of rolling stock of all kinds.  Great prices.  Shippping is unbelievable [low].  Jim A. did NOT get his CTT yesterday.  Read the add to him and he called last night and bought K-Line Holiday Steamer for a low price.  Bet I will not get to Wheeling Cabela's this coming year. Sad [:(]  I always buy and have stuff shipped home.

T&K is doing a very nice job.  They are located just off (2 blocks) Interstate 70 in eastern Ohio.   G&M Trains is just up the road at Martins Ferry and Patricks is in Wheeling.  With the Cabela's Store and the Marx Museum it is getting to be a model train hot spot.

Got mine up here in Yankeeland on Friday, as well. Nice to see some more tinplate in the magazine! Smile [:)] The Super O display layout was pretty cool, too.

Still no CTT. Last month it was a hassle getting my preordered More Allstar Electric Trains. Now it looks like I'm going to have to call about this month's issue. I know it's not officially late yet, but everyone else already has theirs.

jaabat,

Your copy is being withheld for all the Tomfoolery you do on this forum, if you beleive that I can send you some snow from Miami.

Got my copy on friday, even though I was away wednesday & Thanksgiving Day.

Should get your copy today as I think your mail carrier is overloaded with holiday mail or delayed by ice or snow.

You are most likely correct, Lee. My bad karma has caught up with me.

Jim

P.S.
You can keep your snow. It's a four-letter word as far as I'm concerned.

Jim,

You are the one living in snow country and you hate the snow?

Don't sound logical to me(Spock).

Well, some of us who like the four seasons but not necessarily the weather are kinda stuck where we live ;)

Did anyone peruse the circulation report on p. 102 of the latest CTT - average 8.3K newstand sales and about 66K subscribers (7.8K and 64K in the latest issue)?
