Keith ( 1688torpedo) pick up a new engine yesterday. He stop by the museum to give it a first run. Just think, This engine is 25 years old, and it’s the first time its been run ! !

Have been ballasting track this weekend. Always remember , after ballasting to tamp the ballast.

I'm very happy with it and it runs well. Had no trouble with any of the Switch Tracks or Crossovers & it runs like greased lightning as well. Take Care all.

The trains are now running on Phase II of the layout. Today, I busted through the mountain and connected the new track to the old. TMCC is working like a charm and I haven't even added any new power drops.

Well, I finally got the area beside my warehouse ballasted with crusher fines, ready for a spur track and a mainline track to go in now that the weather is a bit warmer.

When I went outside to inspect the ROW, I found the ballast to be disturbed in a number of spaces. I went out later in the day and discovered BB the beagle burying her bone in the ballast. She’s caught in the act on these photos, showing her covering the hole by nosing the ballast over the bone so it’s safe from predators.

Now I’ve got to figure something out before the track goes down. Perhaps I’ll firm up the ballast with concrete bonding adhesives.

Hello John(jefelectric)! The Burlington is a SD-28 from 1981& was in a set named the "Great Lakes Limited" They are not very common engines to find.However, as stated above they are a fine running machine & have no problem going through Switch Track's or crossovers. Dave- Maybe BB is using her bones to help firm up the Ballast for the Track?[;)] Take Care
