Doug, since you did not pay any sales tax on those orders to help us fund Ohio , we won't cut you any slack. I hope you feel better now.

I think I bought a few items from Ohioans on eBay. These are the guys who stick it to ya with high handling charges! Just kidding. I just had to confess the little bit of Ohio connection that I had. that and I went to college in Pittsburgh. Of course that was when I was young and stupid. Then I got smart and moved south.

Dave,
When can you come over and see your telegraph poles on my layout? I have had quite a few compliments on them this Christmas. Wednesdays nights are bad for me, but other days will work.

BTW, when I see you again, I have an idea of something you can make and sell in wood. Something no one else makes!! But every layout needs one!!

To all,

When I first started reading this, I thought about posting as I am a member of OTTS. Then I read dtpowell's comment about the "Beautiful Ohio", and I felt that deserved some commentary as well. If you want true emotion, be a Hooser and listen to Jim Nabors sing "Back Home Again in Indiana" before the start of the Indianapolis 500. Buckeye, I think you know what I mean. Not even grits can top that.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Mike,

This wasn't started as an OTTS thing, but just to see how many forum members are in this Great State of Ohio.

OK so maybe we will draft a few new members into OTTS or Buckeye will start a Mid-Ohio chapter of OTTS and have meetings in the Columbus area.

Now that is a good idea. [:)]

The OTTS is a great idea. Got a lot of O gaugers in Raleigh and surrounding area but they don't quite fit CTT forum. More on a "strict" side [will not call the forum name].

Hi, my name is Rick, and I'm from Ohio.

(Hi Rick!

In all non-seriousness, there is an awful lot of bulls--t in this thread, but I will state for the record that I live in Mentor (just 5 or six miles down the NS main from spankybird), I fuss around with 3-rail 'O' gauge and I'm a fan of the old Nickel Plate and the defunct B&O Fairport branch line.

Oh, and a very big fan of the fine beers brewed by the Willoughby Brewing Company, located in a converted Interurban car barn.
