My wife bought me 3 Halmark Lionel ornaments, the 2 Polar Express add-on cars, a bunch of Life Like trees, some end of track bumpers, and an MRC dual controller. And that was just the train stuff. I got a huge pile of gifts that were non-train related. She sure tried hard to make it a great Christmas!

Mine spent $$$ on me for train items, Lionel stool, Halmark Polar Express set, Halmark train collector's set for 05, Lionel magnet and a book of train stencils.

Got to save room under the benchwork for wife's Rubbermaid tubs of JUNK. [:(] Getting closer and closer. Got a lot of junk out of the walk in attic. Will do more after Christmas as I can stack her tubs in the guest bedroom as Youngest will be gone. [;)]

I believe we are approaching the end of year two hearing about moving the Chief's "junk" so that benchwork can be built. [;)]

True......And now we move onward to year three.

To get rid of junk is also simple. Everything you didn't used the past year is going to the salvation army. Once a year we do that kind of cleaning, since otherwise with the size of Dutch houses we couldn´t even move our asses anymore..
Stuff from moved children you also can stock away for a year after they got their own place, after that year you ask them what they want with it. If they don´t know, they probably don´t miss it and the salvation army can use that kind of stuff and clothing very well.
If you ever want to have a layout for the trains, be strickt with other people´s junk, since your place otherwise acts as a cheap storage locker to keep other houses tidy.[;)]

DAAN, he is as bad as me. Lots of trains and track still on the carpet. [:(]

Yep, for both there is a simple solution. Built a layout in that room, and cupboards under it for storage. (That way the depth of the layout can be used too and the misses only sees the first row[:D])

I was just adding to Daves' joke there. In my 26 months overseas in the late 60s & earlys 70s, people there ate these along with beatles & rats & dogs. So to some, they are good.
Not to me, though !

My wife was a gift from God. No kidding! I was pretty lonely and in a sad way so I prayed that God would send me a good wife. A couple days later my dad calls me up and asks if he can fix me up on a blind date with a co-worker. My folks had us both over to dinner. The only day everyone could make it was on my birthday, but we didn't tell her so it wouldn't make her uncomfortable. So, after dinner we're talking and all and she says she has to take off so she can go home and call her dad - it's his birthday! Well, we got married about 9 months later (NO KIDS APPEARRED AT THAT TIME EITHER! YOU GUYS HAVE DIRTY MINDS).

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
