You can see one of my other hobbies by visiting www.civilwar.vt.edu. And if you want to see what I look like, you can click on the "Center Staff" button on the home page, or go directly to www.civilwar.vt.edu/staff.html

I've been studying Civil War history (as an amateur historian) for some years, with a particular focus on rail transportation during that conflict and also the role of battlefield artists and photographers during the Civil War.

I'm a transplanted Yankee, but the folks at the Civil War Center here have graciously accepted me as a kind of de facto POW-in-residence.

I also enjoy studying military history in general, and serve as the public affairs officer and media liaison for the Corps of Cadets at Virginia Tech.

I'm a die-hard new york Yankees fan. Been collecting U.S. coins since 1946. Collecting and operating O-gauge trains since 1975. Actually had trains since I was 8. I won't tell you what year that was.

Just getting into the trains again - had some HO stuff, but this is more like what I enjoy - big, loud, flashy trains and accessories with lots of actions and sounds.

And the same size to fit with the LEGO people!!![;)] Another point to convince your wife that trains are a must have..

Hi Bluecometk

Which NHRA team? [8D]

I am a person with a very active inner child. This is why my wife loves me so. Willoughby, Ohio - the home of the CP & E RR. OTTS Founder www.spankybird.shutterfly.com

Acting is something that enjoy immensly. Throughout high school, I was involved in drama productions and am actually studying acting in university right now.

Writing is something else I enjoy. I have wrote some screenplays and currently am in the middle of writing another. I also have an idea for another one that I intend to write sometime, but it is currently on the back burner.

I'm also something of an antique collector. I've always had a love for things of the past and accumulate a lot of vintage stuff through garage sales and other sources.

I'm also a big time classic movie buff. This interest in itself is not unusual, but when you're my age it is. Not a lot of 19-year-olds are more familiar with movies and stars from the 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's than current ones.

In addition, I also enjoy reading a lot.

Lego Robotics and now High School robotics since I just volunteered to act as a mentor. Keeping up with daughter's band stuff in high school takes all the rest of my time.
