My two layouts (still in the planning stage) will be the On30 "Bentwood & Davenport RR" and the O gauge Opelika & Oneonta RR (Otherwise known as the O&O or "Round & Round."

The East Goshen branch of the Nickel Plate Road was born as the Schoenbrunn, Hardscrabble, Independence & Toledo short line railroad. Its history is given on my website.

Mine is the Dudley, Golden And Warrior River Railroad.
Comes from my grandsons nickname (Dudley Grinrite) his real last name and the area where he lives.

Not yet built, but it will be the "Rocky Road", might even put that name on a few cars and engines. In town the streets will be: This way, that way, no way, yes way, way cool, wrong way. The bank will be "The Last State Bank",, maybe with a live robbery scene and a get away using slot cars.

When I had my big layout it was the WRLL (Weary Lackawanta Rail Road) now it's called the STSLRR: Short Time Short Line RR- Carpet Hugging at it's best[:D]

My railroad is called the Reading and PA Railroad, and we run a merger of the Reading Company and PRR. This is NOT the Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines. No, not that at all. This is the Reading and PA RR. We provide service between Shamokin, PA and Philadelphia, via Lancaster and Reading. We also have Reading Crusader service to NY City and we offer some PRR train service to NY City as well. We also provide service from the Lionel toy train factory in the industrial part of Shamokin to the Lionel Hobby Shop in the downtown part of Shamokin. Likewise, beer is brewed at the Shamokin Brewing Company, and it is carried by over 20 different reefers to the two pubs in town. The Ritz-Carlton has opened a new hotel in Shamokin, near the train station. Should make it a little nicer for those arriving by train to have a nice night's sleep before heading out to the mining collieries to transact business.

Ophir and Oblivion - Ophir because the trains cost money and Ophir was the site of silver mines and Oblivion because all of my layouts are built on the broadloom badlands which means they are very temporary.

That's funny!

Notice there's a couple of chairs so visitors can watch the action and perhaps smoke some cigars, while the nice ladies are outside mowing the lawn.

BTW, my under construction layout is the Tequilla Sunrise. The track gang had too much tequilla and didn't get up at sunrise.

I don't have a name for my 4x8 layout, but I think an appropriate name at this point is the "Busted and Defeated Railroad"! I have so many things to fix-up, and so little time or money..... sound familiar?
