Thanks for the information, I thing is postwar because I remember the "made in west germany"
so is after ww2. The end of the train I don't know exactly. Nice locomotive with 2 phantograph swiss red body and grey roof......DC motor very quiet........but.....I was too young for keep withme.
SO I enjoy my Lionel to day....

Andre, was that a h0 or 0 train? Fleischmann did make 0 2rail trains after the second WW, but they vanished in a few years. The cardboard ties are common with german trains after the war, trix also used that. Maerklin used pertinax for ties. The carboard ties where used as far as I know only for h0, but I don't know the track Fleischmann made for 0 after ww2.
I do know that those items are very rare, so if you still have it, be carefull with it.

The little red engine is an American Flyer, pre-war. It was originally a wind-up but someone fitted it withan electric motor and drive train. I bought it that way on e-bay, about $50.

Heres the whole train that I bought in bits and pieces

The whole layout is 027 except one part has 042. We use the K-Line 027 swtiches. [:D]

That's the latest Popeil Pocket Fisherman that includes a cell phone so you can yak and fish at the same time!

That red knob works just as well as the original model so what are you complaining about?[:D]

Hello,

pbjwilson, where did you get that red tinplate loco. I'd Like to find one for my little brother. He loves my trains and wants in his words a "metal red cho choo". That is just what I am looking for.

If so, are they easy to find, cuase I can always go with an old Marx train.
