Hey Tom congrats on that 5th star, you really have earned it.[tup]

Here are a couple of shots from the train show yesterday. I am the only person there displaying any Lionel. Everything else is HO or N. At first I felt a little guilty, not having any scenery on my layout, but then I realized a few things.

First, any scenery would be somewhat bulky, and it was all I could do to fit everything in the truck as it was. Second, if you look at the layout, there really isn't much room for buildings or trees, since everything is pretty much covered with track.

The portable layout is about running trains.

Just about time to go again, gotta be there by 11.

Professor - thanks for representing the O Gauge segment of the hobby!

Tom, you're always a tough act to follow on these Sunday Photos...! What did you do to trick up your loco to smoke like that? (wink)

Cough Cough Tom has been around with all of his air polluting coal burners. [;)]

Brown brought another Lionel NS SD80 MAC and it is followed by a MTH DASH 8.

A close view of the MTH NS DASH 8 dummy I picked up from Todd's.

Lashed together.

Uh - oh...that's awesome, Chief...but now you're gonna have to 'splain how you were able to lash up a Lionel / MTH together. Many have tried...maybe you're the first?

LAZ, think I've seen those engines in first photo before. [;)] Jimbo, read the caption. MTH "dummy". You do know you can lashup two TMCC's with the DCS remote. Its a trick that Barry B informed me of. Give them the same TMCC number [not DCS number] in your remote. They will both blow the horn, smoke, lights and coupler work at the same time. In other words, the DCS thinks they are one engine. Just as easy to use your CAB1.

[:D][:D] Good Morning Train Guys

My wonderful wife has been helping me paint a backdrop around the room . Got part of it done.

Also built handrail for the turntable out of 1/16" brass rods. Painted yellow for safety. Would want any railroad employees getting hurt.

Oh well back to work...GET HER DONE >>>>Tim

PETim, that is going to look real good. Now I want Frankie to get his "mess" out of that room. LAZ, that is why they are such good strong pullers [they are Confederate spies getting info for my Rebel raid in Feb. [;)]]. Will not be long and I will be up there for a visit.

No wonder that Norfolk Southern caught fire, its trying to fight the mighty UP. Where was that, anyway? That's an abnormal lash-up. [;)]

Hello all!

Here is an 027 Lionel 218 Alco A-A pulling the 2412, 2414, and 2416 Santa Fe Blue Stripe passenger cars. I received the 218's in 1960 for Christmas. I got the 2400's in 1961.

K-Line Trainmaster [smoke and horn only] pulling MTH Dash 9 dummy and 15 hopper cars loaded with coal and a caboose. This K-Line is for sale. It pulls all of this and the highest I can run it on 72 inch curves is 14 volts. Its a puller.

Who says a cheap MPC switcher can not pull. Custom paint and decal job. Motor changed [trucks are correct] and weighted. Pulling the same loaded 15 hopper cars and caboose.

These are for Tom. [;)] Who is pulling or is being pushed??? [?]

1952 Lionel 2055 pulling MTH NS DASH 8 dummy [weighs as much as powered engine], 15 hopper cars loaded with coal and caboose. [:D]

Post War 681 Pensy Turbine pulling same load. [:D]

Polar Express pulling the same load. It does not pull as good as the Post Wars.

Jerry, Thats a GE. I bet it was ideling where the prime mover does not get hot and does not burn all the fuel, so it gets cacked up in the exhust manifod and stack... when the engineer opens the throttle, it ignites and reburns, In the stack itself.

Just got home from another long day. Buck, that's a vacant store, not a living room. [swg]This little strip mall was almost half empty, so we kind of had our choice of spaces.

We went up there back in mid December, scouted it out, and requested that space. It couldn't have been better. Carpeted, easy on the knees, and the ears. Roll gate, total security. I could get spoiled. The next show we won't get those nice perks, as we will be out in the tiled common space.

Chris, you can not afford it. [;)] Just got two in the past few weeks. Love them. Then got the DASH 8 dummy Wednesday. Got an used CAB1 on the way to play with it. Right now I'm running them on DCS remote. Snell, its about 9 X 12 with one outer loop [track 1] with sidings and two inner loops with sidings [track 2]. It is in the bedroom that my youngest daughter moved out of [but still left some of her junk seen around the walls]. The layout to be built will be in a room 13 X13 [runs around the walls and two levels] and goes through the walls [tunnel portals] into a walk in closet where the trains cross to the other side of the room or change levels. My son had left his HO layout in the room I will be using. I just got it boxed up. Now he has junk to move to his house. Then I can get started.
