rozy: use the link at the top of page one of this thread.

Has anyone else noticed on the Chessie Steam Special that the "Baby Madison" cars now come with detailed interiors?

This is a huge leap forward for O-27 operators!

I like the "Hotbox" cars, the starter sets/add-on packs make me want to open a retail store, and the two PWC sets are putting a crimp on my 2005 vacation budget!

LIONEL, I have just three words for you: Gimme, gimme, gimme!

John,

and why is the GG1 pictured with smoke blowing out the top? GG1's had steam generators for heating coaches. They emitted steam from a pressure relief valve.

I asked the same question earlier in this post, and was told that was the steam being released. I had only seen GG1s in the summer as a kid, so I then went looking for a winter photo and bingo. [:)]

Yup, it's a beautiful catalog alright, I only wish Lionel had brought out the Norfolk and Western J611and passenger cars last year! I bought the MTH 611engine and cars believing it may be my last chance! (LOL...I should have known better and I'm still waiting for my MTH "Pre-ordered" cars too} Not that I'm totally disapointed. I love MTH loco with the exception of the station sounds. (station sounds limit the loco to only one train name.) The MTH cars are OK, but I really love the new Lionel cars with interiors! They are exceptional! Can't afford to change now, Shucks!

The new NYC Flyer passenger cars in the add-on set appear to be lighted in the catalog, but no mention of that feature is found in the text. I'd like to know what the deal is with that, but either way, I like them.
