I was able to buy another toy train today- a Lionel 6-18405 Santa Fe Burro Crane. Was with a collection that got donated to the museum a couple years ago which we've gradually been selling off. I gave away a heap of rusty O27 track I didn't want anything to do with. They were happy to recieve it, and I'm happy to have gotten rid of some clutter I wasn't doing anything with. I struggle to part with things, but I'm glad I could persuade myself to let this stuff go. Hopefully it gets some use.-Ellie

Leverettrailfan I struggle to part with things
Me too, but you know what? The more you do the easier it gets, especially if you can make a little money and get the stuff you really are looking for.
For example, at our spring show I sold a Conrail switcher and caboose combo that I had no idea why I bought it in the first place. Took the money and bought a Dreyfuss Hudson at the same show! I've wanted that for years!
(Had to do a little work on the Dreyfuss to bring it up to snuff, but that's another story.)
Evenin' guys and gal(s). Blustery in the Potomac Highlands. Production company on the train today, so I tried to look super spiffy. Even trimmed my nose hairs.
Tried out the blue and black bulbs in the train room, and they look fabulous!!! (Snap. Snap. Snap.) Spent the rest of evening shooting night video.
Morning all.
Slowly trying to go thru what I have and downsize some also.
Rain blew through Monday night. Yesterday, we had rain and not much wind - wind today, which, as usual, will play havoc with the Halloween decorations....Met up with my best friend on Friday, he's in on being my Best Man and already helped me with the wedding party. I'll be calling him soon to help me with more stuff.A little progress on the Super Bee, Monday. It runs better and better.Spank - I thought Tyler would be home for Turkey day - Hope you get back in time!Yesterday, I FINALLY get a day to myself and I was up in the Train Attic.
Got some work done on the layout, the station area has snow and sidewalks, will need to wire up the street lights and mark out the curbing. Then I can go back to the other side of the street and redo that. Street is on the layout and I removed the Fast-Track grade crossing and will replace that with a regular crossing with MTH cantilever crossings, which I can easily wire into the track. I have gargoyle lights that don't work, I'll see if I can get them to work. The Lemax lights are back ordered and those available from any other source are triple the cost - Thanks, China!! I need 6, They were going for $7.50 a pair at Michael's. Amazon, et al, $24/pair. I'll wait, but that's what I needed to complete Spooky Town.I have my Winter Wonderland engine apart to replace the smoke unit, that needs to happen soon as it need to go back in the box and get ready for Christmas in 2 months.OK, gotta go back to work - I have no urge to work, but my bills tell me otherwise.....

Good Morning and Happy Friday to those that have the weekend offFinished off the Halloween decor at Mom's, then headed to Taco Bell to meet Jenni for dinner.Called it an early night, I'm exhausted. After work, will be heading to Harbor Freight to pick up some tarps to fix the feral cat's house. Need to pressure wash the back patio and get that done.I'm thinking of cutting up a pallet to get the cats off the ground. Mom has a heated pad to keep them warm, Just trying to figure a way to get them off the concrete. Maybe get some hay under it. We're down to 3 from 13 ferals and 2 that are left are very affectionate. Mom's cat wouldn't tolerate 2 new cats in the house and I can't move them, they'll disappear.Windy and cool right now, rain later and tomorrow morning. Should be nice for Hallowe'en, but chilly. Not much else - we're declining an invite to a party tomorrow night, just been to busy, we need a breath.

Hi, been gone most the last week, Wife and I had our 39th from meeting on Sunday and 35th of marriage on Monday. So been doing things with her. I picked up a very nice wine barrel. $80.00 Cut it in half to make her two new planters to replace two that are about 12 years and have given up the ghost. So is very happy with her surprise Anniversary gift. Two 29.5 gallon wine barrel planter halves. So I decided to stain them so they would last a bit longer.
Finished the barrels yesterday. Both are stained and I clear coated the metal rings. Should hold up for a good long time. That is about it from The North Bluff!

Kevin nice job on the barrels.
Happy 35th to you and Mrs.
I have gotten 1 & 1/2 shelves up more to go, not sure how many I will do in total.
Boo y'all! Finally have a couple days off, after being on the train forever. Had all three grandsons here Friday night, and the youngest princess was home for the weekend, so we got to celebrate her 21st birthday. To put things in perspective, she was FIVE when I joined the Coffee Pot... All that I want to accomplish today is watch the Martinsville race. And go trick-or-treating later...
Happy Anniversary KRM.
