Hi there,
Boy hope everyone had a good weekend. Ours was fair. Way hot and Way dry for this time of year here. Corn is coming out of the fields and some of the guys are fighting the blow down from the wind storm last week. The poor guy just east of us, his corn is flat on the ground.
Well I am not so keen on John Deere Green these days. We will be taking the 590i Gator in tomorrow for another cable replacement at 616 hours. This will be to the tune of $425+. Not much good to say about that. This is the shift cable and only a month or so ago it was the parking brake cable at $350 ? The old 2005 CX Gator is 16 years old and has well over 2,500 hours and has never been to the dealer. Very disappointing. Built to fail? Wonder if the Polaris UTV is any better? Doubt it.
ChieF and DougDG. Sandra and I are thinking of you!
A lot of things just don't feel important today.

Mornin' guys and gal(s). Spent the whole weekend around trains scale 1:1. Saturday, I was conductor on the Potomac Eagle. Sunday, I was a volunteer at the chapter caboose, outside Cumberland Station, for Heritage Days. To my surprise, C&O 1309 was displayed next to us on track 2. Will have some nice pics for an upcoming SPF. Came home and decorated front porch for Fall.
Afternoon folks!
Cloudy here due to storm brewing in the Gulf. Temps moderate and plaesant! High 80's.
Feeling light headed today so taking it easy sitting down!

Ah, premature congratulations to you Devil!
But I'll tell you, time may be dragging a bit now, but you'll be amazed how fast the last month goes by! It was true in my case, and I carried a full work load until the end.
V8VegaOur arragant dictator govenor recall election is today. He is expected to survive, if he dosent you can't imagine the weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth.
Best of luck to you and the opposition, but since the opposition couldn't agree on and unite behind a single candidate they may have already shot themselves in the foot.
Still, miracles DO happen.
ChiefEagles Here. Watching 9-11 ceremonies. Wanted to hear President George Bush's speech. He told it like it is. Outstanding. All need to hear it.

I watched the speech in it's entirety on YouTube. What I find interesting (annoying really) is how all the columnists and media outlets are all over the place reporting what they THINK he said! Sorry, I watched it myself and I'll draw my own conclusions. I don't need these high school newspaper rejects telling me what to think.
Afternoon all!
A semi-cloudy day and low/mid-80's due to the hurry-cane down south.
Spoke to sister in Houston and other than a short power outage around 1 am it was just rain for them and was only drizzling at 8 am.
Mrs and I went and had blood drawn yesterday for a COVID antibody research project being conducted by Univ of TX Med school. Got results today - neither of us has had COVID and we both have antibodies as a result of the vaccinations. They will draw blood again after 3 and 6 months. They are studying the level of antibodies with time. Test is free to all TX participants, open to anyone regardless of vaccinated or not.
Feeling better today.
Good Morning and TGIF (for me, it is!!)BIG disaster for GM programming and diagnosing - they rolled out and updated system and EVERYBODY freaked out over it - let's say it wasn't as bad as most of the techs made it out to be. We got through it ok - I actually ran the system Saturday and it was smooth as glass.....Punched out last night, ran to Home Depot, bought a weed whacker, extra trimmer string, cool fuel for the blower (for Mom's house) and then off to Jenni's.We did food shopping and settled on wedding invites and RSVP cards (geeez, that sh!t's expensive!!!) and was home by midnight.Started off this morning almost being late for my 8 AM doctor appointment - the ferals and Mom's cat were fed as I ran out the door - I was 5 minutes early - fortunately.Blood work/EKG/Physical completed. I'm OK - just waiting on the blood results. I actually have a heart - go figure, a few of my ex's didn't think I had one.....Will try to vacuum the house and/or trim the lawn - all the batteries are charged so I can do the trimming before I leave.Weather is iffy tonight and tomorrow morning - I will try to detail the road runner prior to leaving and finish up all my housework. ETA Wildwood 9 PM as Jenni gets out of work at 630, which sucks. My LCCA and TCA membership stuff came in, so I can go to YorkFife - we are planning small vacations around different train museums and steam engines and the Potomac Eagle and Cumberland are within a couple hours+ drive so it is on the radar now. ESPECIALLY with the ne K4s project underway, we are both excited!
Flint - I know time flies and it has been blowing past us, now that wedding plans are in full swing. Much to do and short time to get there, but we will make time for the important things and WILDWOOD is IMPORTANT, lol!!!
Spank - Hope the repairs aren't too bad - Tyler should be A-OK down there......
Prayers for Chief and any in needBack to work - check back later
Hot and humid. Got a real PT workout this AM. Actually guy cut it short as "too winded" at finish. Rested so why I am late posting. Got "banking" to do and then Wifey and I will do errands. Chemo early out tomorrow.
Have a good one.
anjdevil2WILDWOOD is IMPORTANT
No doubt it is, although we never made it farther south than Barnegat and Long Beach Island.
Still, check out those "Doo-Wop" hotels before they all disappear!
Perfect weather! Mid 80s and low humidity nice sunshine.
Tree guy said tomorrow is the day, only been three months since we talked about the job. Now to see if he shows. Was worried a few weeks back when we had the big blow. We had 4 trees snap off but all missed the house. I have two dead that could hit the house easy. I want then down.
Chief, take it slow.
Dennis, did you even think it was going to end any other way?
Sunny and warm - low 90's today and future til Wed cool front. Kinda hoomid.
Not much to report. Doc appts yesterday - all ok. Getting some right arm range back finally so good news is the damaged nerve is slowly healing. Pain is the same unfortunately. Next appts in 6 weeks. Still dealing with the extreme fatigue this past week now. Longest bad period in months - was not prepared for that as finished radiation in Jan. oh well, they said it would take 12-18 months - onward!
Roy - Did you show the Doc the pic of you up on skis...?
Fife - haha - told him about it - he is much younger and said he cannot ski so I kept the pics to myself
Good afternoon,
Tree guys showed up today and after 3 hours of trimming the 2 oaks west of the shed and all the trees west of the house, all are now trimmed way back. The standing dead that could hit the house are down. So glad that is over with. That 50' boom truck is the bomb!! Made for a huge burn pile up at Brain's and I got a good day of cutting to length and splitting to do when it cools down some. Time to relax.
Made it to the back. Rested and napped after nurse visit and did my exercises. Now back to the couch for the night.Hope all are OK and sleep well.
Mornin' guys and gal(s). Sunny and pleasant along the Allegany front range. Just going to rest up today, as Ms. Kelly is feeling a little under the weather, and I've been on the train Friday and Saturday. Good NASCAR races at Bristol, along with some hurt feelings.
Nothing new in the train room, however my engineer buddy came over this week with some MARX trains he wanted to stretch out on the layout. This was circa '39 stuff, and darn near the size of the AF S-gauge equipment I run.
for Chief's continued progress, and everyone else on the mend (physically and ).
V8VegaABC TV is giving it all they got to keep the hysteria going with one quack doctor after another.
Yeah, most of the mainline media's doing it. Without Donald Trump to shriek about constantly they've got to shriek about something to keep the ratings up, and never mind the damage they do from the panic they cause.
Ted Koppel and Megyn Kelly both said when Trump was out of office the mainline media's ratings were going to drop precipitously. They were right.
Been laying low and taking it easy. Nothing to say.
Enjoyed the NASCAR races this past weekend. Some good bump and run/passing. Races were quite competitive for once.
Good morning folks!
Cool front rolled through a little while ago - 77 right now - it hit 100 yesterday, but only the 8th 100 day this year - quite a bit below normal.
Slept a bit better last night for first time in over a week - was only up twice.
Happy Fall, y'all! Zapping some rusty spots on patio furniture, ahead of storage.
Same cold front hit us Roy, 67 right now and I like it. It also gave us a much needed inch of rain.
Called today to set up getting our flu shots. I also need the shingles shots but not sure if I want to do both at once. My old shingles shot is now been 5 years ago so I am ready for the new one.
Working on moving the license plate mount on the UTV trailer. Where they have it it gets all the stuff coming off the tire and is so close to the ground it gets bent everytime I use the trailer. Going to put it on the gate ramp but figuring out the plate light will be the trick. I have a neat LED light and thinking of using some super flex train wire to feed it because of the gate going up and down?
Finished clearing the area for the SIL's deer stand yesterday so we can put it up this weekend.
Mornin' guys and gal(s). Rain and 67 (along with a flash flood warning) along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Glad I got all the yardwork done yesterday. Couple of trees out back are just starting to change, so maybe a normal fall foliage season this year.
Spent afternoon at Ridgeley, lending a helping/guiding hand on some matters. I'm trying to encourage fellowship between the two scenic railroads, whenever I can.
59 heading to 68 on The North Bluff and cloudy. Fife, the Shagbark Hickory and the Ironwood trees are turning here.
Testing the heat cycle out on the HVAC.
