Capped the day with homemade Pitza and watching the Kilchers on Alaska the last frontier.

Good evening all,
Spent four hours cleaning gutters and mulching leaves. Only 2 trees left with leaves. May or may not get to run mower again. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
54 and sunny. Errands and leaves to get up. Tomorrow is a very busy day. Back injection is one thing.
Text Buckeye this AM. Reply was, "Tired."
Have a good one.
There's no place like home!It was very hard to sleep last night. Right side was painful. I kept taking the drugs all night. Couldn't sleep due to the pain. Then at about 8:00 am, a 4 mm kidney stone went down the tube and out the hole. I felt so much better and was able to nap for another three hours. Food is starting to taste good, too. Thank you everyone for your prayers, thoughts and text messages. It helps to have people wanting the best for you. I hope everyone is getting better who have been ill. Beautiful day in the valley. Bright sunshine. All of the leaves are gone.

Pass em all Buckeye.
Just read in my CTT that Carl has gone to Model Railroader. Hal Miller has come from Model Railroader to CTT. Think Carl originally came from MR.
Welcome Hal.
Good news, Buckeye. Good weather for once. Good day at work. Found a work around to fix a long standing problem. Not perfect but better than the existing situation. I hope everyone has a good day.
WELCOME HOME BUCKEYE !!!
Glad the procedure went well for you, NOW the hard part..... Doing as the Drs prescribed! Don't try to respond to fast!
Roy, Hope everything is working out for you and family!
Looks like we are going to have a soggy Thanksgiving, BIG storm suppose to be coming in tomorrow thru Friday. Boy, LAX is really a mess already!! Glad don't have to go there anytime soon.
Going to be working on outside decos, getting them ready to put up this coming week-end.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!!!
Don
Sun and 50 now, rain and wind tonight and tomorrow. I'm sure Kalmback employees know most jobs there but they sure are playing Musical Chairs with their people. I was very disappointed with the small inventory of train items in our local Menards store. They did have quite a few buildings but little else. A very small amount of rolling stock.

Long day and that included injections for my back.
Later.
Another good and busy day at work. Got a lot done and got rid of a lot of aggravation in the process. Wife and I saw Frozen 2 tonight. Good show. More music this time around. Not as humorous but more action and character development. Raining now. Supposed to be windy tomorrow. I hope everyone has a good day.
Raining and 51. Resting up from back injections. Can't help clean house as not suppose to lift or strain back for 3 days. Have a good one.
[how did it do that?]

Hello there, Rich....continued prayers for Dad.
Been hopping from one thing to another. Monday the Endo doc wasn't to excited by the rise in numbers, come back in 4 months. Then she floored us by saying she's retiring the end of December. I'm glad for her but sorry to see her go, she was more concerned about us and our worries than about our numbers.
Got a good report from the Uro doc as well. Restrictions are lifted, come back in 6 months. Yayyy
Yesterday back to cleanin, sortn and chuckn. Then helped Mrs turn a small pumpkin and acorn squash into 4 pumpkin pies. Then we made her Mom's cranberry salad. This morning an appointment after mass then home. Made 2 batches of stuffing, one without onion and celery for our " babies" and baked some turkey sugar cookies for the grandkids.
I'll say HAPPY THANKSGIVING now in case I don't make it here tomorrow.. the gang is due at 6PM
Prayers for those in need.
Evenin' boys. Blustery outside. Everybody went to see Frozen 2. Just FifeMax and me at home. Got patio furniture put away in shed for the winter. Also, started "mapping" out the North Pole layout for the tree. Other than that, fairly relaxing day. Gonna watch Peanuts Thanksgiving at 8.
Chief - Please take it easy. Well, more easy than usual...
anjdevil - Best wishes with the Dad.
Happy Thanksgiving , you old birds.
I've not checked in here in a while. Been busy with other things lately.
My wife and I went on our 40th anneversary trip to Disney World and Universal Studios a couple of weeks ago. We've discovered that the Magic Kingdom has lost its magig to us - too many people. We die enjoy eating our way around the world at Epcot center.
Got a couple of remodeling projects going at home, and we are now at our 'alternate location' to take care of the leaves the trees have dropped.
Have also been active with the local high school robotis team. This fall, they decided they wanted to enter an off season competition in Kansas City this fall. The competition used last season's game, with the intent of letting the teams use last season's robots. Our kids wanted to build a new robot for the competition that used a compeltely different drive system and competition tactic than last season's robot. Come competition weekend, we started out slowly being rated 37th out of 50 teams at the end of the first day. The kids worked on the robot's bugs between matches. At the end of the qualification matches we were ranked 17th out of 50 teams. We ended up in the finals, though we did not win. All in all, a good experience and confidence builder for the team going into the upcoming season.
We also spent a week at our property in Kentucky walking the acrage and refining the location of potential building sights. We also ordered 10 tons of gravel to create an area for parking that is further off of the road. My son dropped by with two shovels and we spent a couple of hours spreading the gravel by hand. When I noticed that my son was not keeping up with me, I thought that there must be a better way. I called the guy who bought my 8N tractor when we moved out of Kentucky 15 years ago to see if he still had it and if I could borrow it. His answer was yes, and yes, and oh by the way did I want to buy it back? It enabeled me to spread the rest of the gravel in a couple of hours the next day, and I now have my old 8N back - though in storage in Ky. until I get some sort of shelter put up for is on our property.
On the train front, the Batman series cars have arrived. I got the Bat Signal flat car and the Joker laffing gas rocket launching car. The MKT extended vision caboose also arrived this week. This is the one that has a Bluetooth camera installed for a 'brakeman's view'.
'Enjoying' the weather today. Started out in the 50's with patches of sunshine which deteroiated into clouds, wind, rain and wintery mix, with the current temperature being around 30.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Another good day at work. All the case managers were gone so I start December with a clean work drawer, a very rare occasion. Windy and temps dropping thru the day. Oak leaves are all down, may mulch them tomorrow. Hard maple tree leaves are starting to fall but not all down yet. I hope everyone has a good day.
Gobble-gobble boys. Windy and 40 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Ferrocious winds over night, gusts up to 60 (sounded hurricane strength), and we had a tall dead tree crash in our back yard, fortunately missing any structures. The good news - Alexis's bf wants the tree for firewood. The bad news - this particular tree was a favorite of the Orioles over the past several years. We lost power overnight, but it came back on at 0600. Again, fortunate.
Wishing all A Happy and Safe Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving from the Valley.
The winds maxed out in Ohio near Lake Erie at 60 mph. In the Valley, we had one gust at 45 mph, but it seems the average was about 30 mph. No damage near our house, but power is out in many places this morning.
Fife....Glad there was no damage or injury. Speaking of Orioles, I believe when we were in Costa Rica on the river tour, the guide mentioned the Oriole as one of the birds that hides out there in the winter. I don't believe we saw any, but then again, I was too enthralled with the crocodiles.
Chief…. Now you will have more time and remember, “Not my monkeys, not my circus.”
Rich…I sure wish your Dad was getting better.
8N…. Kentucky? I have been all over that state especially the eastern coal regions. Don’t let one of those abandoned coal mines put a bite in your project.
Happy Thanksgiving. Sunny and 53.
Hoping everyone has a safe and filling Thanksgiving.
Cloudy and 37. That's it for today. The winds have finally calmed. Some ares without power but most got through with lights still on.
S.J.
Happy Thanksgiving gang!
We had our winds yesterday till about 6:00PM Gusts of 60+ then they moved east.. Never lost power but lights were blinking some. Did hear one loud crash as the neughbor had a dead Ash come down in the wind.Grand kids left with their mom around 4:00.
No plans for today just wifey and me having a stuffrd turkey breast and maybe Brian will come over to eat with us seeing his mom is visiting folks out on the left coast.
8N I spread 300 ton of gravel just this spring. Our 3203 John Deere was the best thing I bought for this place!
Happy Thanksgiving!!! Raining, 50 deg, River Channel 3/4 full
Good Evening and Happy Thanksgiving from beautiful Southern Ohio
May God bless you and your families
Jim
Spent 2 hours mulching leaves for last time. Ran gas out of mower. Lucas came home and we had a roast for supper and then the 3 of us went to see Knives Out, a surprisingly good movie. Good acting. Nice plot and very entertaining. Cool today, but dressed warm enough to work outside. I hope everyone has a good day.
Happy black Friday, boys. Had a very nice dinner at my folk's place, on top of the mountain. Came home to find that youngest's bf had cut up and stacked the down tree, removing what his grandparents could use. I think a thank you gift card to Buffalo Wild Wings (his fave) is in order.
On the train front, youngest princess started painting my river bed and canal basin with Americana brand acrylic paints. She's mixing titanium white, phthalo green-yellow, and cobalt turquoise to match the hue of the Dept. 56 canals on the layout.
I began designing and cutting the styrofoam mountain backdrop (inspired by the "Bumble's" stomping grounds) for our North Pole layout.
Crew call at 0900 to remove fallen trees off the scenic railroad. Gotta bundle up.
Fifey, too much work. 47 and sunny.
Headed east to hunt. Back tomorrow night.
Enjoy.
a lot to be thankful for this year. Mrs and I both enjoying retirement and some health issues greatly improved.
After the feast last evening a group selfie that has become a Thanksgiving tradition.
Where's Roy?? Hope everything is ok.
Best get on with the day . Meeting my cousin from Meadville for a visit with Mom then to an eatery to catch up.
