Morning all. I see the mouth of the south blarring again, he starts something and doesn't know when to end it lol.
Not a lot going on here today, fed the feral cats and watered the flowers.
Time to go do some work out in the garage. Talk to you all later have a good day.

90s here, the grass looks like straw. No rain in weeks. Oh there has been rain around us but we got Nada.
I see Da Chief doctored his tomato pic's by using a smaller than normal loaf of bread.

Been a while since I've posted. The temperature is in the high 80's as I write this, and the weather man on the news said that the dew point was 78 degrees. I really notice how thick the air is when I take the dog out.
Condolances to Laz.
Went to Michigan on a 'vacation' two weeks ago. Didn't get much vacationing done - lots of family business took up most of the week. On a bright note, we did meet with our financial advisor. He told us that I could retire whenever I want. Still got to get a few more things in place before I'll be completely comfortable pulling the plug, though.
Train news - the KATY Muesum is wanting to set up the Express Office as a kid's room. They want to run a G scale around the top of the freight room, maybe an HO layout in the office, and a Thomas themed layout that will be kid interactive.
Somebody has already donated a G scale MKT mixed freight train heades by a RS11. The whole thing is custom painted. I'm working up a proposal for shelving, track, power, and maybe some sort of signals. Will also need to work up some sort of solution to get the track across the large sliding door - lift bridge maybe?
The HO is going to be based on the good selection of HO equipment that has been donated over the years. This might end up being some sort of modular layout.
Enough work here that I've got to find some help.
About all for now.
Good evening all,
Quiet, busy day at work. Pain two was gone all day and pain one left at noon. Got a lot cases for tomorrow. Sticky weather here. May not have enough players for my game tomorrow night. Part of me would like a rainout and the other part just wants to get this season over. Long trip home tonight. Did not do much tonight. Got a very nice thank you from one of "my" soccer girls, not just for the graduation gift but for all the support over the years. It was very sweet. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good Evening from humid Southern Ohio
Rained pretty much all morning then this afternoon the sun came out. It did not get hot but it was really humid. This evening Gabriel and I went down and cut his great grandmother’s grass.
Past couple of days I’ve been installing a cruise control on the Civic. The instructions are generic but the tech support is very good as I’ve called them a couple times and have another question that will be addressed in the morning, the last wire hook up to the VSS (speed) signal.
Fife - Don’t drool.
Kev - Prayers for you and your back
Dennis - In and Out Burgers is one of our favorite hamburger places. When we visit in California we eat there at least once.
Jim - Good looking Ford Probe GT
Good night and may God bless

Well, #19 has been drilled and filled, and I'll have you all know I didn't cry or anything.
Of courth, this is what I looked like the rethd of the day after being numbed twithe.
cnw1995DonB has given me a great idea - I should make a book of the layout, like a manual of sorts. I have all my notes in a big folder but it's not very organized.
I made one of those once. It's about 3 inches thick and contains all the hundreds of photos of things I'd "like to model someday". It also has a few dozen different railware track plans that I tend to doodle on whenever I get ambitious. Still poor though! If you make one, you'll be lightyears ahead of me since you actually built the stuff!
Trains, trains, wonderful trains. The more you get, the more you toot!
Condolences to Laz. Recouperating today from the 4th. Watched a little of "A Capitol 4th" on TV but most of my favorite entertainers are dead so I switched to a movie with Henry Fonda and Joanne Woodward called "A big hand for a little lady" Good flick!

Morning, Going to be dealing with doctors today I think, Worse night since I trashed my back. It has to be more than a sprain or strain
Sorry about Laz's mom.

Sorry to read about Laz's mom.
Dentist moved me up to this afternoon.
cnw1995 - Fifey is always cognizant of where water is, and how it flows around potential home-sites. Wifey once wanted a "shore" home right on the Potomac, and I had to pull up historical photos (some not so long ago) of how angry things can get.
Saw on the other POT, LAZ's Mom passed on June 29.
Dennis, In and Out Burger is now in Texas. Wrote them to come to Roseyville to be their first east coast restaurant. Got a nice reply. Not coming soon. They only build as clsoe as one day drive from their distibution warehouse. Everything fresh. CEO is a very young lady. Seems GrandPa and Dad all died in accidents. Not public owned. Great food. Had it when I visited Shake and Bake.
Aloha. Back at work. Happy Monday, uh Tuesday! Enjoyed a quiet holiday - with a bit of yardwork, painted the front door of the house, and dusted the layout. The youngest and I watched the city fireworks from the end of the block. I must've attracted every mosquito in the county DonB has given me a great idea - I should make a book of the layout, like a manual of sorts. I have all my notes in a big folder but it's not very organized. I could put in some info about Ivor too. Dennis, I have heard such great things about In-and-Out burgers. I hope to be able to travel to California to have them someday.Fife, I was worried about you a few weeks ago with the big WVA floods. I hope you are looking at sites on the top of hills. Rich, congrats on the new layout-with-a-home-attached. I look forward to hearing more of your plans. Penny, that's a nice deal on the transformer!

Morning all, Prayers for who need them. No real big news here, Have to take car into let them fix the left rear seat back. It came undone last week. I tried to put it back together but no idea how it slips back on correctly and hold together it's in place just getting ti to stay fastened.
Oh well other than that like the car. We don't go driving much only have put about 900 miles on it in the two months we have had it.
The truck sits most of the time now which is fine with me. I keep it for when it is needed for something I don't want to use the car for.
Hope all had a good week-end nothing special here but it still was a good weekend.
Mornin' boys. Soggy Mid-Atlantic region, so no events for the 4th. We spent the weekend in WV, visiting my folks, and traveling the panhandle looking for new Fifedom. Wifey fell in love with 2 of the 11 we toured. Could ink an offer very soon. (Still no movement on current digs) Jaw is still sore, and the meds ain't hittin' it...
rtraincollector Nice but I was hoping for something with flanged wheels as your new toy God find there Jim

RT,
No flanged wheels on this one, just rotted tires from 1998 according to the date code.
Penny Trains Sturgeon Phish- It's always best to try to blow the fuses! Redfire- Oh? What new toy would you be buying? KRM- Oooh! I get those back cramps! Right between the shoulder blades and usually in the dentist chair!

Becky,
1989 Ford Probe GT It's really nice, and it spent the last 13 years stored in a garage.
Hope everyone had a good holiday.
Rainy day washed out all 4th activities. Did some errands. Wife and I watched "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" Such a classic flick. What I enjoy is the old cars and the interurban. Shame that it went away. I hope everyone has a good day.
Had a 4th of July Bar-B-Que with Helen at her facility. Pork and Beef ribs both and all the trimmings. They had a sing along afterward with an accordian player who played in only one key. Too high for me but I sang anyway and now I'm hoarse. Surprised she had never heard of "Waltzing Matilda". Probably never heard of Burl Ives either. We did sing a bunch of patriotic songs written by George M. Cohan even if they were slightly out of tune. There is an older woman there who sleeps in a chair about 99% of the time but today she was wide awake and leading the band with a smile a mile wide. Good to see that.
Had ribs at home yesterday too. I'm just about ribbed out.
Happy 4th to all.
KRM Happy 4th of July, May we all enjoy our freedom today with friends and family.

Happy 4th to all. Be safe.
Happy 4th you all. Looks like a nice day out there, already watered the flowers and fed the outside cats ( feral )
Did the lens cleaner thing to my lens on the truck man it looks 1000 times better they where bad. I can actually see the light bulbs clear as day now lol.
No real plans for today. Already 84 going up to 96 but the humidity gets you more than anything.
Hope all have a safe, fun, & Good forth of July
Enjoy your Independence Day, kamerades! I've been so busy lately that I might just sit down and exercise my freedom (freedom from doing anything today, that is), Mebbe send off some fireworks. We got a lot of rain last night, so it's humid. That is annoying. Probably about 85ish already.
Went to the local historical museum to see the Bicentennial Barn Quilt. 92 quilts of barns in Indiana and not one of the barns had Chew Mail Pouch on it???? Go figure. Lots of rain today. Finished work on the Mianne benchwork for the HO layout. Once I figured out what I was doing, it well pretty well. Stur-fish, I use vinegar and ZEB citrus dgreaser with a little dish soap. Kills everything pretty dead. I hope everyone has a good day.
Happy 4th of July Weekend!!!
Been a while since my last post, had log in issues then been out of town for a while.
Well, the move is complete, left last Friday, arrive 0230 Saturday, got the truck and then the Ex and her new husband came then the step son and his GF, went to lunch and they left at 6. That in itself was an interesting visit. We finished at 330 AM Sunday, left FLA USA at 4PM after a whole slew of issues with the apartment complex and the goodbyes with the Princess' friends. Pooped out at 1 AM in Selma, NC finally got home and in bed by 830.
The kids stuff is in storage for now, all the paperwork is done for the house and FINALLY the lawyers let go of the approvals....just waiting for the finacial stuff.
I'm getting the attic, it will be a U shaped layout with a main street in the middle and one side being a Halloween-Horror theme(for my daughter) and the other side mostly Christmas and residential/LeMax stuff...Have a lot of Post War accessories including a Bascule Bridge. Looks like 9 feet wide and 10-12 feet long on each leg. Possibly have a staging area for the rolling stock, maybe 1 or 2 tracks off on 1 side. This is after we insulate and wall board the attic and I will have a portible heater and a/c system up there. about 3-3.5 feet off the floor.
Once we are settled and track is layed, I'll have an open invite to stop by/get together for a refreshment or 2 for youse giz that want to visit.
Prayers for those in need.....not much sleep the last few days, so I'm finishing laudry and then a nap.
I am the monster in your head...And I thought you'd learn by now, It seems you haven't yet.I am the venom in your skin --- Breaking Benjamin
Hi guys, Thanks for the thoughts and prayers,
Had a bad night, this thing is turning into a chain event of muscle spasms if I move the wrong way. Needless to say that don't work when your trying to sleep. On top of that I ain't took a movement since I did this because the muscles don't know what to do. Just think of having a wicked Charley horse but with your back muscles.
Oh well, now you can say I am full of it.
Wife trys to help and I know she is not sleeping good either since when I get a spasm I jurk half way out of bed. During the day up-right ain't half bad.
So I am finding that I may have to sleep in the recliner.
One of the cars for the Flying Yankee set has the chrome coming off and pit rust. So I found one on the bay for $42.00 shipping included. It came yesterday and is perfect. So I am thinking of kit bashing the bad one into a track-side diner. That should be fun.
Holiday events for us are off due to me. Riding in the car is hard.
We did get out yesterday to Farm&Fleet and got Jordan's birthday gift so it will be here on the 9th for him.
Some assembly required.
45 minutes later,
Shed gull of GREEN
Enjoy the holiday everyone.
